I definately need the factory overflow and my fan shroud is now part of the fan. I can't see how I can get it apart. I have a dual fan setup that I thought I couldn't use but the aluminum radiator I have is too big to fit. So it seems like I will go back to a stock radiator. My distributor is toast... I do have a spare fan so I am ok there... I am still working on the resurection plan...

I think you need a new nightmare. My recurring one is with dobermans... But I know for sure that I am not clairvoyant. I never dreamed about this happening. I think my luck with fuel leaks just ran out. I nearly lost the 356 a few years ago when I lost a lead plug on the driver's side weber carb and it dumped fuel all over the engine.

As for my junkyard skills I have that 8708 to ship to you. And trust me the clips and anything related to fuel will be triple checked. Then the wiring will be checked with the infared thermometer!

Thoughs on what would've happened if the clips were in place?

I'm wondering if they are strong enough to hold the injector to the rail even when the injector isn't seated into the intake. This would've prevented a flood of fuel running past the injector and would've just meant the injector would be spraying outside of the intake leading to a crappy running condition, which would've led to him finding the problem before a fire.

I would competely agree. I remember reading a post a while back that said that they were not necessary and they were only on there for assembly. Goes to show not to listen to all the things you read on the forum...

Re: Project Crispy...

You should probably change the steering shaft with a Cherokee shaft (along with the bearing mod Mike found)

I posted a picture of what my white plastic thing looks like in the bearing GP post! But here it is for the project crispy thread!

I do need them! I will "pay it forward" and send you the PCV valves you wanted for free! Just send me your address and I will get them out right away! I will also email you a prepaid fedex ground label if that would make it easier!

Wonder if ARP makes inj hold down bolts?

I will be making sure that the bolts holding down the fuel rail are replaced with grade 8 bolts!

Re: Project Crispy...

Sure! If u can send the label, then FDX can pick the stuff up at my office.
Saratoga Family Health Center
2505 Samaritan Drive St 101
San Jose, CA 95124

I already PP'd bux for the PCV's & my home address is w/ that. OK to ship to either place, but FDX pickup should be at the office or they'll never catch me.
UPS just drops stuff at the house - I'm up in the mountains at the end of the road.
It does suck to have the whole front of your truck screwed up - I've had mine completely apart for crash damage & know your pain. I AM glad you're not just parting out another of the vanishing breed.
