Someone knocked a vac line off... prob. at the wastegate accuator..... takes about 11 psi to open it hooked stright to the turbo... :2cents:

Yes, absolutely both are strong possibilities. I pray that you got your stock SyTy valve body still in this rebuild. Did you find anything further out yet? Or are you still looking for ideas? I hope you can get it resolved; my truck has been down for over 1 year due to very similar circumstances. :roll: :tdown:ty736 said:

with the motor running give the tv cable a few hard jerks. if it's stuck that should hopefully help. does it shift hard in 3rd gear or not shift at all until 6K? did you put it in? they did right. is the converter in all the way? did they use the stock converter? they should know to do that if they're experienced. the governor is a pretty easy thing to check. pull it and put another one in and see.
just a suggestion. if you paid these guys to rebuild your tran and install it just drive it back there and say "mornin guys. this things not workin. won't build any boost and won't shift out of 3rd gear..." you paid good money for them to do it.... let them do it until it's right. even if they gave you no warranty, they still have to give you a tran that works at the beginning. i wouldn't go messin with it too much on your own. that just gives someone the opportunity to say you did something.
keep us up on what's happening. also, waller seems to be our "resident" tran guy around the board. ask him. john loves people telling him that the trans someone got isn't working. i think he smells future business
he does build a pretty good trans. these guys should make it right though
