i love this site, and am very thankful for it.
i'd also like to say teh search function utterly sucks.
i was looking for a topic i started a while ago - interior gadgets - to find barry for ?'s about another thread.
so, did a search for topics from myself - not impressed - gave me a billion answers.
tried by topic - same results.
moderators - help?
thanks in advance, and i aint bitching here - just frustrated.

I have concerns on a similar level. There had been some posts I made a few years ago and I just tried to use my profile and the search function to find a few of them to no avail. Are they archived after a certain length of time? If so, where can they be found (archived)? This is not ALWAYS the case, but seems to be when I need to find something :wink: .

I'm just curious too. I couldn't run this site if I had to, so I admire all the hard work and resources we do have at our disposal.

I have similiar feelings about the search also. Generally I find it is just easier to ask the question again and again and again

generally, i wanted to reiterate - this site is a great service for us and provided free, and i am happy to have it.
it might save a lot of newbie and repeat questons if the search feature could be improved, plus generally makie life even better.

Wasn't everything lost when the site went down like a year ago or something?

and yes I hate the search feature also, it gives you a million useless threads but I could just be using it wrong though.. doubt it
