I posted it on Craigslist before but now I've lowered the price because I really need to get it sold. It's been sitting outside most of the summer and I don't want to see it go to waste so I'm re-posting it here with a lower price to get it moved.
I"m selling my 93 GMC Typhoon. I've owned it for about 6 years and it was my daily driver for most of that time. It has an upgraded Turbonetics turbo by RPM which was a VERY noticeable increase in power especially at freeway speeds. The turbo has less than 300 miles on it. Other than that it is stock. It needs a new transmission right now which is why I've been storing it and since I'm moving I've decided to sell it instead of fixing it. It goes into 1st and revers but won't shift beyond that. The motor is strong and everything else works except the AC and the CD player. It has brand new tires on it, I doubt they even have 200 miles on them. I'm also throwing in an upgrade to the heat exchanger for the intercooler, a distributor cap, rotor and spark plug cables all of which have never been out of the box except for inspection.
The Ty has almost 190k on it but as I said until the tranny went It was my daily driver and ran without flaw. It has the typical wear and tear of a 1993 vehicle that has been decently maintained. I've kept it garaged since I've owned it so there is no visible rust except at the bottom of the rear hatch where the seal meets the door frame. I really don't want to sell it but I'm moving and the new place only has a single garage and I don't want the Ty to sit outside and rot away. It's a fantastically fun and FAST truck and it deserves a good home.
Thanks!!
