I have looked into it a bit and its a lot of work. The main reason I chose not to do it was because you will need to disable the column lock unless you keep the key. If I were to still have to use the key then what is the point other than a "cool" factor. If you take apart the steering column and get rid of the column lock, then bypass the ignition cylindemr then you can wire up the switch to activate the starter. But it wont shut it down that way. There are kits out that can do start stop, and can monitor the tach wire similar to remote start so it doesnt over crank, and can kill the engine with the same button. They still require the column modification to function as true push button though unless you use the key.
