It definitely feels great to see a vehicle you own go through Barrett Jackson with THAT much success.

Wow!

Also Lot #905 is a Saudi Syclone. Should go early on Friday, not likely on TV either. This one looks less original with some typical mods. (IC hoses, airbox, etc). So we'll get a couple of sample prices this week to see how the market is doing.

Any price guesses?

I'd say $15,000 on Lot 324; and $12,000 on Lot 905.

My guess was only half the money on 324. Hope that means 905 goes for $24,000. I'll be trailering mine to sell there next year if so! Maybe 324 was exceptional.

For now I stand by my $12k estimate!

I'm not surprised. Whenever I sell a vehicle, the value of that model begins to skyrocket soonafter. Happens every time. :squint:

Wanna know what my GN would be worth today? Nevermind...

29k for that pile? :haha:

somebody was pants on head drunk.

The best Syclone on the planet that isn't a Marlboro isn't worth that IMO.

Jimmy that wasn't nice. I hope the new owner doesn't see that post. I am glad to see the numbers go up on these trucks. There cant be too many of these low mileage trucks left.

You have obviously never seen the caliber of trucks that I have. I can get you a nicer one tomorrow with 1/7th the miles for $27000 cash.

Somebody post a pic of me licking the PPG.

Good point.

Dear New Owner of 1281,

Welcome to SyTy and the community! Congratulations on your awesome purchase. We in the SyTy community feel the value of these trucks is underrated and we appreciate your contribution in making them the collectibles they SHOULD be!

Jimmy is kind of the jokester around here. Cracks everyone up. I'm sure you were completely sober when you made your purchase.

Again...congrats...and welcome to community. Please post some photos. And if you have any questions, you came to the right place!

No I have not seen your trucks I would love to see them. I do know these trucks are hard to find and to get a low mileage one is even harder. Based on truck 1281 you might want to think about selling the one you can get for more than $27k.

I'll see if I can hunt the truck down and do a Johnny Manziel money sign next to it.

Lot 905 the Saudi sold for $15,500 plus 10% fee. Pretty strong price also for that truck.

Re: Syclone #1281 at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale

So the Sy sold for more than most of us ever thought it would, is this good or bad for us? My opinion....neither.
This truck went across the block at Barrett-Jackson. I have been watching for many years now and one inescapable truth about the vehicles sold at this venue is that people pay way too much money for them.
This year especially has been an example of overspending. The Beverly Hillbillies truck went for $275k. This truck has absolutely no practical use. I can't imagine anyone daily driving it or driving it at all except in a parade.
I would guess that the buyer of #1281 purchased the truck for an investment. It is a low mileage truck still riding on it's original tires and claimed to be all original. If they wanted a Sy to drive or modify they could get on egay or autotrader any day of the week and pick one up much cheaper and some in better condition. Was this a smart investment? Not in my eyes. Was there alcohol involved? Probably. Was the buyer a SyTy expert? Not a chance in hell! :rotf:
As for us bottom feeders that drive our piles around and think they are the coolest things on earth this auction price doesn't mean diddly to me. I'm well aware of what my junk is worth to the real world and what it's worth to me.

Re: Syclone #1281 at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale

It all comes down to how bad this person wanted a syclone. If there is a car or truck some one really likes there gonna bid on it no matter what the cost is. This person probably always wanted a syclone and it was a low mile all original truck and he really wanted it so he got it.

It's funny because lots of people say they would never ever spend that much money on a syclone on this forum. Most wouldn't but somebody that always wanted a syclone will pay that much.
