Morimoto Mini H1 projectors correct? I just finished installing a set of these in my car and love them. I went with the Morimoto 35watt 5000k bulbs on mine. It look's like you cut off quite a bit of the shroud. Did you have to modify the housing to get them to fit?

Mini h1s yes, the driving lights "fog lights" whatever are the stock syclone lights, having problem keeping them on and having the high beams work correctly. Still working out the bugs.

I cut the shroud just a little, maybe 1/8th of an inch, but the back of the housing was a major mod. I will get pics of the next one I do and post.

If I can make these easier, I can maybe sell them predone for syclones. Its "almost" plug and play after you get the housing modified.

Nice to see someone finally doing it right! Much room behind the projector and battery? I've still got 2 retros to finish, fx35's and fx-rs for my blazers. Only retro I finished was putting blazer projector fogs into the square blazer housings. No finished pics, but done all black.

I like the increased visibility they provide and don't take this as a personal attack BUT the projector beams behind that big of a glass headlamp looks silly on a SyTy IMO.

If I am in the on coming traffic I will probably call you a few bad names, sorry ahead of time.

Any pics of it during the day with the lights off? Always wondered what those headlights would look like on a syty.

Re: Syclone Custom HIDs done

They are blacked out as much as I could do it ;)

I got the housing off ebay, they were "fake" HIDs, which would do nothing considering they are black, so who knows what they were made for, but they work great for a projector.

As far as the brightness of incoming traffic, if they are aimed correctly, they are WAY less bright and distracting to oncoming traffic then a normal HID bulb.

I first bought the 50watt FXR projector, WAYYYY to big to fit, maybe if i cut out my battery there would be room, would require a ton of modifications.

The H1 housing I used, there is maybe 1inch or so on the battery side, and a lot more on the oil filter side.

I put the grill back on today, and I will snap a few more photos and see how they look, at least there were not cuts, I can always go back to stock lights in a flash.

I rarely use the lights at night, but what a difference. ;)

Re: Syclone Custom HIDs done

Paint or powder coat them rings black! Paint the front of the shield black, and that's about as far as you could go. I think they look great. I'm not a fan either of seeing the projector, but with the light output it should be more than worth it! I'm going to try and let some light leak out to sorta illuminate the housing a bit.

I did open up the headlight buckets and core support to make room for the fx's. I still need to finish the backside of the lights to see how they fit. At the time though they were the smallest bi-xenon projectors available.
