Hanging out at the Doubletree during Nats '05 Friday during the nasty thunderstorm; SyTy whiffleball, whiffle-golf ;) , mini-bike racing, "The Sermon", BSing/hanging out with people I just met but it felt like a family reunion. The "red-eyed" 5 hour drive from OK to KC with Servando copiloting, a guy Id never met before but gained so much syty knowledge from.

I think about the long-ass drive to nats and my butt gets phantom pains, but I'll have a smile on my face the whole way there.

I will never forget Me and Dobrick crashing in your hotel room floor Thursday night because the hotel's computer was down because of the storm's and we couldn't check in. Friday morning your buddy who was a sleep when got in waking up and going what the fxxx are you guys doing sleeping in my floor!! His face was priceless.

Thanks again for your kindness....Especially since you had never met me or Dobrick and Dobrick looks shifty anyway.

Also at nats 2005 us at JSM had just completed my 80e install and Jeff Scott wanted me to show it off to people. I think I must have given out 15 rides scaring the shit out of most of them, but the best one was Jeremy Sullivan. I had found a nice little road not to far from the doubletree that I was ripping up and down on when giving "demo" runs. The only thing was that there was a sweeping turn in the middle of it.

I came to a stop 100' ft or so before the turn and started to spool my Sy up and Sullivan eyes get BIG and he says "YOUR NOT GOING TO BOOST LAUNCH INTO THAT CURVE?" I simply shrugged and said yea and let it rip! He was white knuckling it the whole way! Got through it and spun a U turn and did it again!:rotf:

Nats is always a blast...

How about the first nationals.... I have this really long story that starts in SoCal with Andrew and myself, and ends in Kansas with a cop car behind our two Typhoons, pulling into the Saturday picnic.

454 turbo dually towing a 48 foot trailer, getting about 4 mpg with two 10 gallon tanks, one on each side.

Taking the hood off near Colorado, transmission falling off the engine in Kansas. And thats just a couple of the highlights...

Those cops were definately nice. A pair of cali boys in KC, driving speeding SUVs was asking for a trip to the judge. Its a good thing Norman was there with the BBq to calm things down. What ever happend to the Dually anyway??

Oh yea, I think he was reaching for his gun. Us pulling up, and then a mass of people walking up in a circle around the cop..... us having little to no sleep in the ... I don't even know how long we were traveling. Something like 3-4 days by then... Over the rockies the truck would only do about 10 mph. We got pulled over and searched in Colorado. On the flat, the truck was decently fast. I remember waking up to the whole rig vibrating pretty violently. I looked over, and Andrew had the speedo buried at 85mph... It might go that fast, but it probably wouldn't stop...

We couldn't have planned a more dramatic entrance...

The dually, after the nats, I drove back to Manhattan Kansas. Dropped off the Typhoon. They loaded the Ty, Dually up on the 48 foot trailer. Loaded that whole trailer on another flatbed, and hauled it back to SoCal. $2500 for towing, $600 for loading later, it was back.

After that, I have no idea what happened to it. I guess it got sold off. Car dealers go though a few cars and trailers...

Everything that could break, broke on that trip.... busted a radiator hose at the tire shop before the trip. Broke the radio before we left the driveway. Changed it for another one, and it broke not far into the trip. Ended up using a TV as a speaker. The dually was consuming about as much water as fuel by the time we reached Kansas.

hmm.. there was the moment sean and I found some ice statues at the Double Tree after a wedding. We proceeded steal them and take them outside and use them to slide down the not so steep hill on the side of the hotel in the back of the parking lot.

shortly after, fires erupted.

Tony wearing the little half jacket waiter outfit...... that was so funny. This last year, they caught me pretty quick when I went "looking for the bathroom".
