I have 8 of these limiting straps available. they're custom made to fit sy/tys using factory bolts and are strong as hell. the upper mount bolts to the lower alternator bolt and the bottom mount goes right into some big bolt in front of the upper control arm and behind the steering box(don't quote me on this-it's been a while since I had one of these on my sy or even thought about them). I can always dredge up a pic of one installed from several different angles. It's hard to see in the pic below, but there's 2 bends in the lower bar mount and it sits just perfectly against and around the frame rail. It saved me and who knows how many others from having to do motor mounts before I was ready. If you're tired of ripping apart pep boy's tailgate cables or feeling the vibration from a chain, this is for you.
These remaining 8 are the last of the second batch of 20 I had made up for me by the guys at hard core hot rods and race cars here in S.D. I got the idea when I saw a front susp. limiting stap that was very similar on a mustang they had in the shop, except it had no metal mounts at either end. When I found out that they made it in-house w/the huge hydraulic crimper they had I took a show of interest both here on the forums and the list. Had the frirst run of 20 sold before they were made and enough lingering interest had me get a second order made. But the hassles of selling to the general public through the internet made me quickly abandon selling anymore save the few I'd already sent out.
I'm tired of looking at them hanging in my garage.
