Throttle valve is sticking....again

I guess i am going to be forced to do a rebuild on my trans very soon. The throttle valve has been sticking here lately. This has only happened after getting into full boost in the past. And it has corrected itseft pretty quickly. But it has been about a month now, and it is getting pretty annoying. First to second shift is only at about 3400 rpm and second to third is about 4000 rpm. And mph is irrelevent. Oh, and no fourth gear. I only drive about 6 miles round trip.
Is there a premanent fix for this? I have cleaned out the pan and checked the valve. I haven't found much trash in there. I am gonna need to just rebuild it while it is out and maybe beef it up a little. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hey there. It has been a while hasn't it?
Well i have tried tugging on the cable with the truck off. I have also got up to about 40 mph and shut the key off and stabbed the gas pedal repaetedly. Both of those had worked in the past. But not anymore.

Is there anything esle besides replacing the valve and plunger? I have heared of adding additional clutches in the 3-4 and a wider band. Any input? Has anyone done either of these or is this a waist of time and money?

sure you can add clutches and about 3k in good parts but for the question you asked about 3-4WOT the TV valve and plunger controls that and only that. adding clutches and band will not make it act differently.

No no, i understand that. Are these things a worth wild thing to do in order to make the trans a little more robust? The tv valve and plunger are on the shopping list. Are there any other things that are worth doing while the trans gets fixed? I want to get rid of the junk tc that i have also. Anything esle?

If you want to do it right you will end up replacing everything except the VB and input drum but then again thats what I get paid to do is fix them after god knows how many others have tried and failed. I do have the worlds quickest 700R4 in a syty to my name for a reason.

I can't give away my parts list so please don't ask, I've spent 11 years building the perfect trans for these trucks and spent countless thousands in R&R making my own parts so, please don't take this the wrong way.

You don't have to spend 3k in parts for a stock truck but, it's like insurance, a lot of the time you only get out what you put in it. cheap coverage doesn't get you very far.
