No problem man. George, myself, Barry, and many others have collected info for that to take place. Soon we hope to get viedo to go along with some of it. Good luck.

Getting the top stud that holds the downpipe bracket off can be a bitch  ! Even after I cut down a 14mm deep weld socket, I still couldn't get a good bite on it. Had to result to the Dremel with flexshaft and fiberglass reinforced cut off wheel for some sheet metal "modification": http://huryde.station180.com/gallery/view_photo.php?set_albumName=mikecampbellakaSY2932&id=abd

Heed George's warning about the transfer case being heavy because it weighs around seventy pounds: http://huryde.station180.com/gallery/view_photo.php?set_albumName=mikecampbellakaSY2932&id=aan Not a biggie if you have a hand pulling the transmission though.

The part number for the gasket that goes between the transmission and transfer case is part number # 1564-2511. Maybe Jesse can include that number in the "how to" if asked nicely  . HTH's

70 #s is an underestimate...

That thing feels like 100+ whens it comes down.
And you don't need to remove the whole bracket, just get the forward part that bolts to the bell housing and leave the L bracket part on the X case.
Remove the Vent hose, VSS plug, and fuel line bolt.

I got one of those Metrinch socket sets that fits multiple size bolts and the DP bracket was no biggie. It comes in really handy with these half SAE half metric GM creations.

The upper bell housing bolts are the bitches.
One holds the dipstick tube, thats the bigger of the two bitches.
I'm really editing my language when I refer to those 2...
Get lots of extensions and sit up back by the tail and work in from there.

Make sure you get the TC full seated and its not a bad idea to fill it as much as you can before in stalling it. Some people soak them in fluid the day before so they don't get dry startup. I fubbed and didn't fill mine.

Going back together make sure you have help putting the X case in b/c it needs ot slide on straight and not bind, helps to put something on the gasket to hold it flat during install.Just some stuff I ran into doing mine.
