Well I was looking to buy a Ty and found one at a local car lot. It is a Teal Ty W/ 122K. It drives ok, shifts good, a little play in the suspension. It NEEDS carpet, door panels, paint job, and a stereo. He is asking $8900 for it. Do you think this is good or should I hold off? He wont go any lower he says.

find out how long he's been sittin on it... after a while he'll want to get rid of it, and perhaps go lower.

i personally wouldnt go any higher than 7500... i mean if it needs work, it needs work... and no matter what, you still got a ty w/ 122k on it when youre done... and that means theres gonna more routine S series repairs comin, with that kinda mileage things are definitely gettin worn out ya know?

find out if you can get a warranty on it.

I'd say too much imo.

trans, turbo and engine have tons of miles and prob hard miles too boot.
so they'll eventually need rebuiding.

carpet, and door leather.

Then a paint job so your looking at alot of $$$ after you pay out the $8900 providing you don't need anything done under the truck.

At that price, you should move on. There are much better deals out there...

Hi 92Typhoon1679, nice to find another SyTy owner from Japan at this board!!! I'm also from Japan and owning '93 grn/gry Ty.
So where did you get your Ty at?

Another hand, I'm always facing shipping fee problem when I decided to buy some SyTy stuffs from States since my contract with Air/Navy base was expired... So, how did you get those stuffs from States???
