Well, it brings me no joy to do this…many know how I covet this truck and what it took to get it…but I want to turn my attention to the new house (still only two –car garage) and restoring the Syclone, so it’s time to thin the herd and let someone else enjoy this beauty.
Lots of photos here: http://s167.photobucket.com/albums/u137/baythan/Typhoon1237/
Many photos have descriptions so be sure to read those. (the PPG photos are in this album too...)
1993 Typhoon 1237 Green/Grey
The Good
Super clean with just 45,222 miles
Known to the SyTy community – Oregon, Alaska, Pennsylvania
Winner of several “Best of Show” or “Best Stock Ty” awards at SyTy events
Runs great – I would take this truck ANYWHERE
98% stock (K+N filter and KYB shocks only “mods”)
Never raced or abused
A/C blows cold
All gauges functional
Interior, exterior and engine bay immaculate
Stock shocks included with truck as leveler is present and functional
In recent years, new fuel pump, fuel filter, vacuum hoses, wires, caps, rotors etc
Mobil 1 with regular changes (it will be delivered to you with fresh oil!)
No interior rips or cracks anywhere
Functional key fob
Tapered aluminum 2” block (drop 1”) offset with 3/8 – rear wheels centered in well
Road-force balanced tires – no vibration at high speed
Light tint on front windows.
Battery is brand new. (but its a crappy NAPA brand)
As with any vehicle this age, there are some flaws or things that will eventually need attention. I’m listing everything I know…no matter how minor:
Recently learned that it had been painted to cover (yes, cover) some stripes that were on there in the 90's. I thought they were peeled off and residue was left, because you can see "ghost" impression of stripes, but in fact they were painted over. There are tiny spots (near door jamb) where the teal and purple paint are showing through. There is a good photo of this for you. They did an excellent job with the paint, but it still irks me that this was never disclosed. It doesn't show up in photos (I tried!) and people notice only after I point it out. Here is a photo of the truck with stripes:

Gonna eventually need new tires. Michelen Pilots on them now.
One wheel has some minor checking (pictured)
Some minor dings barely noticeable – I couldn’t get them to show up in photos
Two small spider crack in windshield (pictured)
I've been told it needs ball joints.
Leaks about 3 drops of oil after parking it - leaks from the brass block at the oil pan. O-ring to repair included with truck along with a braided oil return line from RPM
Noticed some seeping from intercooler cap recently. Been told I might just need to replace cap but don't know.
Puff of blue smoke after sitting for a while
Visor straps are loose; elastic has worn out. I tuck them so they don't hang down.
Typical Typhoon rear window rattles.
For some reason (gremlin), Auxilliary fuse blows when using fogs (sometimes) . It's intermittent so I just don't use the fogs. I think it has something to do with how the radio was hooked up. There was an aftermarket unit when I bought it and I had stock radio installed and ever since then, problem with fuse.
The center console compartment has a cord that used to be attached to a six CD changer and they put it through hole where one 12 volt socket was. That socket is hanging loose in compartment...not sure if it works or not. Never used those sockets.
Missing "cap" to lever that releases back seat. It might be lost in the truck somewhere because it was there when I bought it.
Small holes in way back panel - previous owner had amplifier or something mounted there.
Some small holes in tailpipe (from muffler back). Not too bad but I probably would have replaced to pass inspection.
Looks like a lot but I’m just trying to be as forthright as possible. Despite the list, you could take this truck anywhere, dust it off for car shows, and almost always be the cleanest truck at SyTy events.
Asking 14,900 obo.
Serious inquiries only please. Would love to keep this in “the family.”
