Today noticed a low speed rattling/cluncking noise from transfer case. Checked fluid level ok. Also new dynotech propshaft slinging grease from boot around shaft. Pulled the prop shaft just to rule it out. Anyone replaced transfer case, cost if still available?

Thanks,
Greg

the syty transfer case is unique to the syty..it is much more heavy duty than any of the other GM stuff...you can readily get parts for the syty case though so just rebuild it...

Further investigation, noise only in first gear and reverse. During this short discovery trip, now no forward gear!! only reverse. I guess it was the trany not the transfer case. Trany is serta replacement with only 9k miles on it.

Is it not the same as the Bravada?

Yeah...

Mine got replaced from a Bravada with 50K on it about 45K miles ago...no problems yet.
