I had an RPM hose, and on my truck the motor would rock enough under acceleration to pull the hose and check valve tight and let vacuum escape from the brake booster.

Have the same hose. Doesn't even reach the booster. Hoping it'll fit on my other trucks.

Raised the garage door and looked at it. It's been sitting locked in a grage for over 15 years.
Correction, I just counted it up. Locked away for over 17 years. My how time fly's.

I posted this from battery relocation: "I know this is an old post, but can anyone tell me if there are bolts (that I can't find) that holds the battery in this tray behind the right tire? Optima went dead...."

Is that locked in a garage and never driven?

Yes, never driven in 17 years. It has 49,000 on the odometer. I wanted to do the necessary maintenance for a Syclone that's been sitting for so long so I could drive it on weekends and special occasions but my situation is looking more like its going to have to be a daily driver. It"s a long (use it or lose it) kind of story . If I chose to sell it and went to any car lot to get another vehicle I could never repurchase anything that would be as cool to drive around in. On the flip side It's going to be gut–wrenching to bring it out and subject it to the wear and tear of daily driving after being preserved for so long.
Edit to say it was started up every year or so but never taken out of the garage.

Getting ready for Gary's meet. Started changing the cab mounts from rubber to Poly. Luckily I only broke 1 bolt out of the 6.

I have a few other boxes of parts to be put on. June will be here before ya know it.

Yesterday: Finally changed the distributor rotor and cap.
Today: Drove the Ty amazed by the difference it made. :shocked!:

A bit same situation for me with my daily driver Typhoon, although it has 100+ kml, so it's not that big a shame. But still, is one of 24 made in garnet. And winter doesn't do good. But I've encouraged myself and decided to enjoy it now - tomorrow may be too late. After I've done DDing it, I can always restore it to it's former glory and beyond...

Couldn't you trade it to a higher mileage SyTy? Would get some gas money and better conscience.

Started replacing the shocks today. The bolts for the bar pins on the rear suck!! I can swap shocks on my Jeep in 30 minutes start to finish, not so much on the Ty. First time really wrenching on it though. Decided to give up for the day (need to go to the store to get another bolt anyways) and brew some beer. The first, but certainly not the last, time that my Ty will be on jackstands in my shop!

After breaking the cab mount bolt last weekend, then breaking the easy-out. The only solution was to remove the cab mount. A new one was only $45. So a few spot welds and the old one came right out. Now just fix a nut to the new mount and weld it back onto the floor.

I have a 98 Wrangler, everything on there is easier to do than these trucks, everything.
