Yes they will, Vette Mike from NJ has them on his Sy, there Sweet looking. 17x9's all the way around, and he said he needed to put a spacer on the rear to have them sit right. SLP is selling them right now for $900 a set for chrome, without tires. Here's a few pics

Hope this helped,

Umh...I think you just helped me pick my rims. Those look tight! With 40 series tires, it shouldn't affect performance much either, nice.

Mike also told me that they weight one pound more than a stock wheel and tire combo does. Yeah you can run the 275/45/17's up to a 315/45/17. I was thinking about getting a silver set and having them custom powdercoated, like a gun metal grey color. The put them on my black black Ty. Lata,

NASTETy92, can you really run a tire that wide on these rims? Or do you mean they come in that size too? If so where can I get them in that size?

Hey Nick, are those rims in the pics from the Z06 Corvette or the Camaro? Are the front and rears the same size? Any more pics of that truck from different angles? I'm seriously thinking about ordering a set of those chromed if they only cost $900 for a set.

Thanks

I'd be surprised if you could get a 315/35/17 on that wheel... At best its prolly no more than a 9.5" wide wheel... The 315s are intended for the 11" wide wheels.

U can quite easily however run the same size on all 4 corners 275/40/17s They are intended for that width wheel.. IF I am NOT mistaken I believe that is a Camaro wheel and NOT a Z06 wheel.. They are different sizes front and rear, and also I dont think the lugnut spacing is the same as our trucks.
However the 93-01 Fbody wheels are a direct bolt in..
I have 275/40/17s on the front of my chromed ZR-1s
and 315/35/17s on the rear of that same wheel. Major difference is, that the fronts are 9.5" wide and the rears are 11" wide..

One major minus, nobody wants to run ya when they see the 12" of rubber on the rears

Oh well I've been wrong before but I'd certainly check into putting a 12" wide tire on a 9.5" wheel.. Unless you get the wider wheel in the rear I dont think it will work correctly

From what Vette Mike said, they were just 17x9's all the way around. He had the 315's on the back of his car that weekend, whent aht pic was taken, so it can be done. I wouldn't recomend driving it all the time like that, but for a trip to the track for a little more traction it wouldn't hurt. Those are the only pics that I have of that truck. The wheels are off of a 2001 SS Camaro, and they are direct bolt on's. The only thing that you needed was a spacer in the rear so that they would sit right. If you need any more help, e-mail me at Nick7197@hotmail.com

What size spacer? I'm working on getting a set right now. How much are spacers anyway?

Nick, thanks for the info. I'm going to call SLP and get the lowdown on those rims; will probably order a set this week sometime. Those make the Sy look sooooooooo much better and $1000 is small change compared to some of the other rims out there. I had chrome 96 Grand Sport rims on my 91 Vette with 315s on the rear and it made the car push like a pig in the corners. The only advantages were enhanced traction for launches and, of course, the aesthetic benefits. I'll opt for the 275/40/17s on all 4 corners.

I saw these on Vette Mike's Sy in person at the last GMHTP day at E-Town, and damn do they look sweet. I've e-mailed Mike about them and was going to order them last week. But the guy he told me to speak to about them over at SLP, was at SEMA until today. So looks like I'll be on the phone with SLP in a little while ordering them. $900 for these!! You can't go wrong.

Can you not use a 245/45/17 or 255/40/17 on the SS rims? I heard that if you go with anything over a 255 you may rub fenderwelds or suspension in the rear?

You don't need a spacer in the rear-they fit perfect.

For the front the best you can do is take a little notch out of the A-arm to clear for clearance on full turns. I hear the 8.5"'s don't hit at all.
And don't forget you might need to fine tune the front axle length about 1" with a hacksaw.

This was info from another member.

I just ordered the SS's from SLP. Sorry Alex, I couldn't wait for a GP on these. They're on sale. And I dunno if we'd still get em at this good price by the time we get a GP together.

I think I'm going to need spacers for the rear. I know Vette Mike runs 1 1/4" spacers in the back w/these.
