NP #30, I understand. So did you get them for $1K with tires and chrome?

I went with the chrome w/o tires for $900.
I got a friend who's gonna hook me up with tires for cheap. I'm gonna go with Kuhmos, Ecsta, 712, Supra tires,
275-40-17 all around.

i just got off of the phone with an slp sales rep....he said that they dont normally do gp's with single individuals....it has to be a company of some sort....he said that if one of us has a company in any which way related to syty's to call him and he can set something up....dont know exactly what he wants but he wouldnt disclose gp prices....i guess i did my part if someone who owns a business wants to direct the gp that would be great....here is there phone #732-349-2109...please reply if you want to try this gp.....thanks

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the compliments on the wheels. Nice pics Nick. I don't know if SLP will do a GP on these as they are already on sale, but I will talk to my contact there and see if he will do any better. Can't promise anything, but let me know how many are interested.
Thanks,
Mike
BTW The 315's will fit on the 9" rears but it's a stretch and I wouldn't advise taking any off ramps at high speeds as this might be a problem. I had the 275-40-17's on the fronts (which I plan on using all around) and they didn't rub and tracked perfect. Like Mike (phoon 30) mentioned, I used 1 1/4 billet aluminum spacers. The only other item I should mention is that although the fronts bolt right up I noticed that because the hub on these wheels is slightly thicker, you loose about 1 1/2 threads on the wheel studs. Just for saftey I think I may install new slightly longer studs, but I had no problems as they are. You also don't have to cut the front axel stub, like you do on the ZR1's, as there is plenty of clearance for the center cap.

Sooo, do we deal directly with SLP? Who is the contact person there? I spoke with someone on Monday, who apparently had been talking to some SyTy folks. When I said I was going to put them on a Typhoon, he indicated there had been some recent telephone traffic about this.

Also, I checked on the 'vettebrakes' link and they do not list a 1.25 inch adaptor, as Mike mentioned. Any other place that sells these? Thanks.

They want me to collect all the money. I dont really want to do it that way. I would rather have everyone send their money directly to SLP. I did not want to push the issue until I had a few people interested.

You see this is not really a GP, they are just giving me the wheels at dealer cost. I am passing the same price out to the Syty.net members. Actually I now can buy anything they sell at deal cost. If we get a bunch of people ready to buy I am going to try to push for a cheaper price.

They told me if I really want to get a GP going I could contact one of their distributers and set it up through them. The only catch is that the price would be considerably higher.

We can get any wheel they sell. I just posted what I thought everyone would be interested.
