Okay guys please don't kill me for this. But I believe I am gonna have to sell the truck. I have already been offered $15K cash. I really aint sure how fair an offer that is.

I know Dave would want me to make good choices and that is what I am trying to do. Rather than struggle with a few things. I think it is best if I sell the truck.

You are welcome to contact me via e-mail at work lweaa@allstate.com

Thanks

Oh Lisa. Sorry to hear. I would let the community sell it for you. We all want a good home for it. It would be worth more to the right buyer. Good luck with the sale!

Re: Myclone

Lisa, I'm very sorry to that you have to sell the truck. No one on here will have any ill feelings towards you for this decision. I too would say let us sell it for you. That would insure that you get what it is worth, and that the owner knows how special that truck is.

Lisa, We all understand what you have to do, no apologies necessary.

Just please make sure it goes to someone that knows SyTy and understands the history of the truck.
It is truly legendary in these parts.

We all miss Dave dearly and I am sure it does not help you being constantly reminded of him by the truck.

take care of yourself and if you need anything do not hesitate to ask.

Re: Myclone

Honestly the truck doesn't make me sad, I think of how much enjoyment he go out of it. Walking in the garage is still hard. His hat and smokes are in same place as he left them that day. I still have a message he left me on the answering machine. It will be three years next month. Lord knows I still love and miss him.

But I can't hang on and struggle with things, he wouldn't want that. Considering my powerbill last month was $620. (trust I called power company and TV station and gov office) insane for a 1100 square foot home. I still gotta pay it!! AEP (power company) stuck to everyone. Thanks for your understanding and let me know what I need to do as far as listing it.

Re: Myclone

Can someone who knows the truck list it on here for her?
Should do better than CL or EB & the buyer would be someone who would respect it's legendary status.

Re: Myclone

Its seems like a nice truck that is fairly quick, but with the market the way it is and you could use the money take 15 k and run. At the end of the day it is her decision who gets the truck and it is pretty ridiculous to think any one here should have a say in where it goes. If you want to decide where it goes buy it yourself.

Sorry to sound harsh but this has come up a couple times and needs to be said.
Good luck with the sale, your husband seem to be a great guy and is still obviously missed.

Re: Myclone

$15k is a very good price. Someone willing to pay that amount for a truck right now, I would certainly think they would take care of it. "take the money and run"

Re: Myclone

I agree also with that amount stated above. I would take that offer for mine hands down. I hope that the new owner is aware of it's history. I wish I had the money & extra room for it so I could have side by side serial #s.

Re: Myclone

I'd say it's a good price.... a few years ago it would have been higher, but these are different times and they may be getting worse. If it were me, I'd take the $15k. Just my :2cents:

Re: Myclone

If you have the scratch, and $15k is a STEAL (let me repeat that....STEAL!!!!!!!) THIS is THE truck to buy if you are in the market.

Re: Myclone

There are a lot of people who keep things of past loved ones because its a constant reminder of their love. Some people have pictures, some still have clothes. Others have everything they had. You have to realize that once you sell it, it too will be gone for ever. It will be almost if not just as hard letting it go then he was. I as well as the rest of us realize that at some point it will have to go. You're the only one who can truly pick that time. We are here for help.. But the question is, is that price really worth what the truck means/meant to both of you? Or would keeping it, even if it meant never driving it be better then not having it at all.

Re: Myclone

Take the 15k for it. It's a great price. Memories and love will continue to be in your heart and mind forever. While the sy was a part of him, sell it. It will always be around, just with another owner. It sounds like you can use the money. It would be a gift from him for you to use the money to help you continue to live.I know it must be hard to do, but life has to go on.
