stock shifter with 4l80e

What is the solution to get the shifter working correctly with a 4l80e. The shifter will not line up with "D".
Does the sonnax short shift shaft fix this? I hate to go with an aftermarket shifter.

I had the same issue. I bought the specific 80e Shifter cable bracket and the Indicator just wouldnt line up. I ended up bending it and has been fine since. I do have the Shoft Shift shaft to clear the Propshaft.

Lots of adjusting to get it right on. It took two of us to get it just right. One in the truck, and one under it both making adjustments.
