Just make sure to park you SY/TY where you can see it. It is in the "hood" and our vehicles stick out down in that area. Daytime is best to go there.

After thinking about it (and reading Authur Bryant's website), I'm going to eat there during Nats too. We eat as a group Friday(early afternoon) and Sunday(late morning). You don't have to eat with the group; but if you do, the best time to go to Arthur Bryant's would be Friday(late afternoon) or Saturday(late morning). They have three locations. The original would probably be the best. I think one of them is by the NASCAR track. Someone on here said that's a great part of town and the original is in the 'hood'. I hope it works out to go as a group. Always more fun to cruise anywhere in a pack of Sy/Tys.

The newest location is by the Kansas Speedway and it is a fine area. They have a new shopping mall and plenty of other eating places. It takes a good 20 minutes to get there. Just let us know what you guys decide to do and since I am local I will make sure that you get directions.

Where are we eating on Friday? I don't see a breakdown of events on www.sytynationals.com. Was a new placed picked from last year? I remember the general last year was to choose something different.

Renz, we've met and talked, but I kept a low profile at 05' Nats. I was a Nats newbie, but I've been on the websites for years-as a guest. I've got some printouts from sportmachines.com from the late 90's. At the dyno Friday afternoon, I was sitting on the east side of the door. The Keller's had a playpen setup for their kid, on the west side. I remember you wanted to get in the playpen but they thought it was only rated to hold 50 pounds, or so. DENIED!

You are not the only one who missed out on the first night's late night fun... I nearly broke my ankle running out to my truck... damn lighting. So I missed the late night drunk speal given by... that guy from texas right? I forget his name.

According to the 2006 Nats flyer, there will be a BBQ at the dyno. Looks like I'll be having quite a bit of BBQ over the weekend.

Burgers and dogs just to fill the belly.
And give Renz something to soak up more liquor.
Certainly not the caliber of BBQ that is being discussed above.
Sorry to disappoint.
*edit: I believe the BBQ will be at the hotel before we leave for the dyno due to availability of facilities. You will just have to show up to find out.

There will be multiple convoys.
The Friday afternoon cruise to the dyno is optional if you are attending or spectating.
The "SyTy Power Tour" is the caravan of everyone to the track.
We typically cause a quite a storm on the highway. :tup:
