    Codes 15 & 33, and no-start.

Welp, got a problem with the Ty. No start situation, with Codes 15 and 33 showing on the Scanmaster. A few weeks ago the truck went dead while on the way to work on nightshift, had it flat-bedded home. The Scanmaster shows Codes 15 and 33. I've changed both the coolant temp sensor for a new...

    Turbo

Re: Turbo I run bowl-ported L35s, 20G/14cm, 60s and a 2800 stall and I too am curious as to how you can super-spool a 14cm exh with the stock converter. With the 2800 stall the 20G hits like a slug to the chest, I don't see how you can get that same kind of instant RPM/spool with the stock...

    Sy #877 build up

Re: Sy #877 build up Last year when the fresh engine went in, all the A/C stuff came out. I never used it and don't regret removing it. It cleaned up the engine bay and provided a bit more room. I drive my Ty daily, year round. Just my .02.

The 304.... The 304.... Hey Matt --- saw you bought that killer 304 in the "parts for sale" section. What kind of power #s are you looking for out of that beast? Sure looks badass!!!

    Flipped oil pressure needle revisited

Re: Flipped oil pressure needle revisited Mine has had the 'flipped oil pressure needle' issue since I bought it back in '09. This looks like a neat and quick way to deal with it. Thanks for the write-up.

Are you running a stock bottom end with a turbo/heads/cam upgrade? ---

Re: Are you running a stock bottom end with a turbo/heads/cam upgrade? --- Some chips like the Turbo Tweak VeloSyTy have an option for a 2nd program when meth is used.

About to install 5 gauges ... install vacuum block? ---

Re: About to install 5 gauges ... install vacuum block? --- As to which to install first, if it were me, I'd install the Scanmaster before anything else --- the knock retard function is the most important piece of information you'll need going forward in modding the truck, in my opinion. I...

About to install 5 gauges ... install vacuum block? ---

Re: About to install 5 gauges ... install vacuum block? --- I have a Scanmaster 3 in my Ty. Great way to keep an eye on knock retard. It displays two parameters at a time, and I usually have mine on 02 Mv and KR. Highly recommended.

    A/C Delete and defrosters?

Re: A/C Delete and defrosters? I have the AC delete and also live in the PNW area. No problems at all with the defrost and heater -- they work the same as before the AC was removed.

    Custom Cam

Re: Custom Cam Agreed. In my opinion, there is no need to 'cam' the engine for RPM like a N/A build. A conservative cam with adequate lift that maintains bottom-end torque and throttle response will run just as quick if not quicker than a 'big' cam. The turbocharger is where our power is, so...
