About to install 5 gauges ... install vacuum block? ---

pppssssshhhhhtttttttttttt
Its time that I finally break down and install my 3 gauge pillar pod ... and a couple other gauges.

So far I have a wideband, boost gauge, and transmission temperature gauge that I will be using in the pillar pod.

Then I was wondering if I should install my electronic boost controller ... the truck will be stock for atleast a month , but then bolt-ons, and finally heads/cam/turbo swap. I have a Greddy Pro Spec B controller. Im not too familiar with it yet.

I was also considering getting a scanmaster knock gauge to keep an eye on the vital stuff while I dont have a laptop with me and datamaster (with a person in the passenger seat). The Buick guys love these.

Should I put all 5 gauges in , in your opinion am I missing something or is this overkill on gauges?

I have a vacuum block ... should I install this and use it to run the vacuum gauges? I will be running a Blow Off Valve later.

Thanks :) ---

That is AWESOME, the only thing I dont like is that you can only get one reading at a time without pushing a remote to switch through the stuff. ---

That mirror is really cool, but my guess not so stealthy at night. I have my gauges hooked into my dash gauge dimmer, so I can turn the out if I want to be extra stealthy.

I have a Scanmaster 3 in my Ty. Great way to keep an eye on knock retard. It displays two parameters at a time, and I usually have mine on 02 Mv and KR. Highly recommended.

Thats exactly what I was hoping to hear on the scanmaster, I just ordered mine :)

Now, how hard is it to setup the boost controller for stock ... then adjust it for the future setup (from 15-20lbs ... external wastegate) ?

Should I wait off to install it or do it now with the other stuff?

Thanks :) ---

As to which to install first, if it were me, I'd install the Scanmaster before anything else --- the knock retard function is the most important piece of information you'll need going forward in modding the truck, in my opinion. I knew I needed bigger injectors after rebuilding the engine last year, but never knew how bad it was until I got the Scanmaster. Getting 8*+ of KR at only 12 psi boost, 55 psi base fuel pressure and 94 octane Chevron surprised me to say the least, esp. since the truck feels strong even at this low boost. Fortunately I know to keep boost low until my new VeloSyTy chip, 60 lb injectors and Accufab afpr get here next week. Those will replace my Ultimate chip, stock injectors, and old ATR afpr I have now.
