Re: Ty Vs. Lightning. Who is going to take credit? And yeah, FYI I have a 80cc 2 cycle motor on my bicycle. And yeah I have killed go-peds and other scooters racing across the pits at the track on it, but never beat a Lightning on it.

Should I stop posting my races?

Re: Should I stop posting my races? I voted you should keep posting. I read your stories for entertainment purposes. Not sure how many of them I believe, but I have never raised the BS flag. The day I read that you beat a twin turbo Viper up to 220, then I am going to raise it. I just have...

Re: Ty Vs. Lightning. Who is going to take credit? I can answer that......any kill you read about on the net was done by that Tytilidie guy. He has never been beat. I dont know if he has a bicycle, but if he does, I am sure he coul beat a Lightning on it. (until 80 or so when he realized...

    Convert the 4l60 to a 4l60e?! ---

Re: Convert the 4l60 to a 4l60e?! --- You could make it work, but the LS1 style 60e is a little different. You would be better off getting a 4l60e from a 1996 or so vehicle (pickup or f body) It would have the proper bellhousing pattern and converter spacing etc and would be more of a bolt...

    Motorcycle 60FT times

Re: Motorcycle 60FT times I guess we will see this season........Last yr when I went the 1.53 I left at 6000 rpm and it was on a Shinko "soft" tire. This year I have an "ultra soft" tire and I am going to work up the guts to leave at 9000 rpm like all the other turbo guys. I will post the...

    Motorcycle 60FT times

Re: Motorcycle 60FT times I usually run in the 1.6's on my bike with a best of 1.53 -on a street tire. My bike would be capable of 1.4's with a good rider. I have the front suspension strapped and it is extended about 3 inches.

    4l80e Torque Converters

Re: 4l80e Torque Converters I have had several converters since I started running the '80e. I started off with a Midwest. It worked great and I was happy, but I kept reading where all the guys on LS1 tech were saying Yank this Yank that. I convinced myself that I was losing performance by...

    the Blazer lives !!

Re: the Blazer lives !! I bought the Silverado brand new in 2001 and had the blower strapped on it by the time it had 1400 miles on the clock. It snowballed as most projects always do and at one time I was the 3rd fastest NBS Chevy truck over on LS1tech. Basically I got tired of it and bored...

    the Blazer lives !!

Re: the Blazer lives !! I used the oilpan and mounts from Turbo time. I had to scoot the motor as far forward as it would go to get as much A/C compr to frame clearance as I could and that made the pan hit the front diff. I clearanced it with a ball peen hammer and thats where my oil leak is...

    the Blazer lives !!

I got the Blazer running a week or so ago. I have put about 300 miles on it so far and it is definitely fun to drive. I haven't done a "boost launch" just yet but it leaves hard just stomping it from a dead stop. Even in the rain, lol. I am running about 9 psi right now so its probably...

    center console question

Re: center console question Dang, what a hard install !!! The floorpan is different between a Sy and a Blazer I guess. I went back and got the mounts out of the Sy just to be safe. Once I removed my factory console I saw that the rear bracket is the same but the front one was different so i...

    4L80E disadvantages?

Re: 4L80E disadvantages? When I went from the 60e to the 80e in my Silverado I slowed down 2 tenths on sixty foot. I ended up getting a little of that back by turning up the power but it never did sixty ft as well with the 80e. The advantages are much improved shift feel, its not "clunky"...
