Re: What's a "2 step"? Explain this to me. Your foot is still on the brake, right? It just holds a certain RPM for a more consistent launch with less wheel spin. Wouldn't it be the same as doing it 'the old fashioned way' with better driver control? I'm familiar with a 2 stage rev-limiter...

Re: Title trouble... Yes. Until it's 25yrs old, then CO will allow a person to apply for a 'builders title' which could be done using the original VIN. I was at the main DMV office last week with not much else to do but read their literature...
