yes this is true just a remote start on some newer cars can be 400 dollars 699 would be about right for a good alarm start system installed ,the biggest thing also about a alarm is that most installers put them in like they are a remote start the brain and the wires need to be hidden just like factory so thiefs can cut wires etc
