That was the reason i went with a smaller battery the intake tube would hit the hood and top of battery and i didn't like that. I think im going to move battery lower in fender and get a die-hard from sears. The starter is basically brand new and works great dont plan to mess with it.

Hi have had bad luck with the Kinetic batteries i am
now using a Optima dry cell 870 CA yellow top i
installed it about 3 years ago ........!!

That is an awesome intake! is there a specific application or part number you are using? I hope you don't mind me asking. Sorry, I know this thread is somewhat old.

What are others using for a battery that is smaller in size and saves space but at the same time gives enough amperage to start truck with no problems? I would love to move the battery in the fender but as we all now Kenne bell is no longer around and the people that have posted ones for sale i have missed.
