I am pretty sure I was able to use a deep 10mm socket to remove the letter from the grill.

The ones I am looking at on my grille are round, Fingered. spread as pushed down.
Put my smallest snap on screwdriver and tried to pry the finger out and bent tip
Used a dental pick and it bent it up.
Mine are not hex head. It would be nice if they were. I am trying to prevent snapping the stud to mount. I will try a 10mm deep hex
* 10mm-7mm hex did not work

those are Jesus fasteners or speed nuts, I use the term jesus fasteners because when it comes off you will yell jesus where did that go. Just get behind them with 2 picks and walk them off lift each side a little at a time, or if you have long tiny cutters snip them
