engine runs badly

need some help just put a new motor in my ty and changed trans to 4l60e with a fast transmission controller. now i get code says electronic spark control. pulled out my ecm and there is another module on top is that the module i need to replace? if so where can i find one? or does someone have another idea. engine runs good at idle but misses badly when i try to drive please HELP

Is the brown wire disconnected? It's for timing, under pass side carpet, firewall side.

the brown wire is connected under carpet i did unplug it to time truck and is on timing mark

Do you have any pics? Are you saying after opening up the ECM there is another module piggy-backed?
Or is it separate on a harness connected with the ECM onto the top of the ECM bracket? Is this module a clearish/white & the size of a pack of cigarettes?
It's the DRAC module.

the module is the drac it is on the outside of ecm. where is the esc module?

How good is the distributer? RUSTY? Did you check the maginet for cracks? Check the picup coil.

Just about every one of those stock distributors are junk

Isn't the ESC part of the stock ECM programming, unlike a stock S10 having the module mounted on the firewall.
