Found New SyTy Info

Picked up "Muscle Car Chronicle", a big book at Borders today. Page 323 has the Syclone, page 324 has the Typhoon. Wrong info as usual, did you know regarding Typhoons "just 3000 were built for '91, 500 for '92." Oh well. Also a small pic of the Syclone logo on the contents page. And the new issue of Hot Rod 8/02 has a big article about building the 4.3 V6.

Huh, I guess the '93 Ty's are REALLY rare.

I read the thing about building the 4.3. I figured there would have been something mentioned about the SyTy.

Good find on the book - I would like to pick up a copy even though the information is wrong.

Latest Truck Trend has something about the twin turbo trailblazer and they refer to it as lethargic or anemic or tame or something, just like the OLD Typhoon/Cyclone...

It's the issue with the stupid Viper Ram on it.

heh, was flippin through that truck trend and thinkin about buying it but i saw the misspelled Syclone and the article on the lightning and thought that my money was better wasted on a rod and custom and a maxim :wink:

Few things...

After the original (actually the same article) about the TT Trailblazer came out Opie wrote the mag, letter to the editor, and pointed out their misspelling. Funny....I'm glad they listened to him when they reprinted the article this month.

yeah, car and driver, motor trend, all those p.o.s. mags that only care about the rich casual car buyer, hate american cars, especially ones like ours, so i wouldnt expect anything out of them
