My official test results from the DutchTy upgrade....
I had to wait to post these until I found a day where the outside ambient temps were within 1 degree of one another.
BEFORE the upgrade.... start of a WOT run to top of third... starting temp 82.8 degrees f. Ending temp was 115.3. This was a 32 degree rise.
AFTER the upgrade.....
start of the WOT run to top of third gear... starting temp was 81.9 degrees f.
Ending temp was.... 94.6! This was just a 12.7 degree rise.
Boost levels were the same.
I'd say this is a great improvement. One other interesting thing is that with the old cooler the temps would start climbing right away and rise clear through the run.... with the upgrade, the temps actually start to drop through first gear then slowly start to rise - this tells me the upper IC is now the weak point.. I'll try isolating it now to keep the turbo heat away from the bottom side.
I'm way happy with this upgrade.... thanks DutchTy!
