Drum roll please :D.................

My official test results from the DutchTy upgrade....

I had to wait to post these until I found a day where the outside ambient temps were within 1 degree of one another.

BEFORE the upgrade.... start of a WOT run to top of third... starting temp 82.8 degrees f. Ending temp was 115.3. This was a 32 degree rise.

AFTER the upgrade.....
start of the WOT run to top of third gear... starting temp was 81.9 degrees f.
Ending temp was.... 94.6! This was just a 12.7 degree rise.

Boost levels were the same.

I'd say this is a great improvement. One other interesting thing is that with the old cooler the temps would start climbing right away and rise clear through the run.... with the upgrade, the temps actually start to drop through first gear then slowly start to rise - this tells me the upper IC is now the weak point.. I'll try isolating it now to keep the turbo heat away from the bottom side.

I'm way happy with this upgrade.... thanks DutchTy! :D

Thanks for the test results. Knew it had to work. Insulate the upper from heat from the underside...hmmm... Since the Space Shuttle program is shutting down, I wonder if we can get some of the tiles they use... I have some Nascar connections. I'll see what is the latest and greatest for heat reflection in their world and pass on the info.

Thanks I did my best but didn't have a DM roll out.
isolating the upper must work out even more :tup:
with the adition of a upgraded Johnson IC pump and ATR upper its about -40 compared to stock, with Tylex DM read out.:woot:
