Been off the board for a few years, had 3 Syclones over the years. I look at various Sy/Ty on eBay, craigslist a so forth from time to time but actually won this one: http://modules10.dealercarsearch.com/usercontrols/largephotos.aspx?id=2117747
anyone know this truck? Looks super clean, best color in my opinion, low miles and appears slightly modified. I won the auction at $10,800! Never thought it would sell for so cheap. If you know of this truck, please let me know or if you can identify the mods. Guess I got me a new project boys, what do you think? Looking forward to this! :lol:

Don't know much about the Typhoon but what I do know is:

- Dealers are experts at making vehicles appear much better in pics than they are in person.
- The money you spent for a 36,000 mile truck equates to an excellent buy.
- White on white looks phenominal.

Thanks. I agree pics can be dangerous but it is a 19 yr old truck so I don't expect new. Just looking for a fun project that my son and I can have fun with and in. I don't use my z06 given his car seat so this'll be good.

My guess is that its been repainted at some point. It does look clean but they did leave out some key photos too. There was a Ty by me that looked this good in the pics, but once you saw it in person it was a whole different story. Either way, Congrats on the low mile purchase. Good to see u back in the syty game!

Repainted with 36k miles, why? I see no reason a low mileage TY cant look that good. My last Sy has stock paint and it was like a mirror.

If I own a Ty it will be White/White also ... glad to see you back :)

Hope it hasnt been wrecked before ... my truck had been repainted also , and only had 63k miles on it when I got it.

  • Drivers front wheel lip is bent
  • shitty balance job on the passenver rear wheel
  • its 1 of 120 white/whites with the rear cargo net
  • shitty aftermarket stereo/amp installation
  • Kenne Bell Cold Air Kit

Thats all I can see. 16 records on carfax, no signs of a carfax or owner ever being on this site

It has been on CL for about 6 months. You got it for about 5k less than what they had it listed for. Looks nice, congrats!

How can you tell? BC/CC? Base, clear? Surprised that can be seem with pics alone.

Ran the Carfax, thing is clean. Mileage reports accurately, had 25k just a few yrs ago. 3 total owners.

I personally don't mind if it's been repainted, looks like they did a good job. Carfax shows mileage is true. Again, not expecting a like new Ty for under $11k. Was a no reserve auction and given the fact that it was a holiday weekend, I tend to think it slipped by. Who knows. I haven't given a dime for it yet so feel free to pick it apart. Interior represents a 36k miles truck, paint does, wheels do (look better than my wife's '08) :), engine compartment looks clean....all in all a bargain I suspect.

Haha, was only a simple question, no need to be defensive, I appreciate your feedback. Happy to school you when/if needed ;) I've been a member here since the beginning and like I said, have had a few of these. :tup:
