Whats the chance we get some of the tuning info and a full build sheet... ?
maybe down the road sometime....?

funny thing about all this, last week i said the faster you go the harder it becomes to shave of time, then we go out and for 400 bucks shave off .500.

my mind is reeling today thinking of thingsto do next.... gonna have to put it down on paper to make a new plan for the next week or 2.

on the lighter side... Wheres that guy Hoover?

THATS UNBELIEVEABLE! we have had sum pretty big jump in the ET of our truck........but not that dang quick! btw, pretty dang good 60'! and for the equipment u are using to power that thing, that makes it even more impressive! best $400 u've spent in a while!!! thats really modest about giving harry all the credit, which is obviously due, but you be da one driving that rocket! if a person doesnt know what the hell is goin on in a truck like that, 10.02 aint gonna happen! so congrats to you too!

be sure to get that video up and goin so we can all see it. if you want i can put it on our website for folks to see. just let me know. CONGRATS AGAIN!!

9's on radials, who'd a thunk it.....

You should have seen the reaction on the track officials faces after the 10.0 pass....then when it came around again he took off his headset and said to me " Man that truck is one baad motha ****a" then after ed's last burnout he realized that the truck was on STOCK RADIALS!!!!!! He assumed to shaking his head in disbelief, and finally came out and said we were nuts!

Guess they dont see many vehicles goin 10.0s @ over 135 :lol: OH wait, on $65 a pop cheap ass tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny thing about it is that you guys may think ed's truck is not driveable on the street.....I completely disagree!!!!!!!!! Yesterday I drove my 9 second '96 turbo trans am to the track....its as suttle as driving a stock lt-1 or ls-1 car, then when ya lay the hammer down, turns into a street sweeper....Its a shame you drive like grandma with that trailer ed....You woulda seen an '03 cobra on 95 get his ass handed to him @ over 165mph right before the rising sun exit......Craig caught that one (the GN guy that came with us) Shame the ford guys cant take it like men, so they go off pist of with their tails between their little balls. Ed's truck is just as driveable as the TA.....we take it out for tuning on the highway at least once a month, and I can say this....those other people on the highway must be thinkin one thing--- "MAN THAT S10's GETTIN IT!!!!!!!!!" Truck doesnt stumble, doesnt stall, doesnt idle all messed up....has ZERO driveability issues....its a perfect 10 across the board, the tuneup is incredible On the track and off.

So Ed......when you gonna bring that thing out on the highway???? I have a TA thats startin to get worried! 8) 8) 8)

Also I'd like to say that Matt Hoover seems to be truly a great guy....I just laughed when I saw the other thread where he actually implied Ed would go faster than him....

just looked at data log finally, nolan asked me about this also last nite and i had to guess then.

went thru the traps at 6380 if i read the highest point, but like keith said it may be lower as i dont let off the instant i go thru and it is still pulling like a dog in heat all the way thru. i didt compare the time points of the datalog to the et timeslip. I do kno wthat harry acctually does this. but anyway as you can see there is still a lot of rpm left in this.

shift points look like 6200.

it sure seems like my converter gets tighter at higher rpms.

We build ed a new hybrid turbo....that everyone said wouldnt work (turbo mfgrs and garrett) Well I guess it works DAYUM well....besides we aleready proved the "other" engineers wrong by making 230+ more horsepower @ Flywheel then they claimed with the original unmodded GT-40 turbo. GT Turbos are the CHIT and we've hit this one right on the nose :wink:

i just like to see people go real fast in their trucks! even though dad and i want to be the fastest, and hope to be again 1 day , we like seeing people perform well in their trucks! the amount of time that has to be spent to get these truck to perform is obviously a lot, so when a person does well, im glad to see it. i know how much time dad spends so i can relate bc of seeing dad turn the wrenches! good luck gettin a single digit pass ed!!!

Id like to see Ed hit 9s too especially since hes stock displacement with no magic dust heads and has worked hard to get there. Not to mention the fact I think itd be highly entertaining since hed come completely unglued and wouldnt sleep for two or three days. Hell, I wouldnt sleep if I was in his shoes at that time either :wink: .

the coolest thing about what matt is saying ties into what i told him today when he actually called me on the phone today to say congrats.

I told him that i thought that once you reached the 9's. who is in 1st 2nd or 3rd doesnt seem to matter as much as the fact the you got into the 9's.
or something like that anyway.

so you understand what happend during the run:

next run some guy breaks 2 cars in front of me at the very end of the 60ft.

we turn launch boost up 1 psi and run boost up 1psi.
so last run truck launches great, no wheel spin. gets to the exact spot at the end of the 60ft and damn if it didnt break em loose in exactly the same spot they just cleaned up.
anyway last pass was 10.19 with a lot of spinning.
