I think I found the problem!

Ok so its kinda funny how I found it. I did not have the parts to do the bike tube test or any other type of leak test. So I figured hey I have a mouth and air comes out of it. So I took off the hose from the turbo and left it attached to the ic and blew in it as hard as I could. I immediatly heard a hissing in my right ear. I did it a couple times and listened then i felt around the throttle body linkage and was able to wiggle it around and I could hear the sound of the air changing. So??

I dont believe that is a fixable problem. I could be wrong but I was told that cant be fixed. I have a throttle body for sale, came out of a low mile syclone. its painted black but doesnt leak. $50 shipped.

Installed new waste gate, changed all vac lines, new boost solenoid, new vac lines to waste gate. Turbo to ic hose. Could this be the problem??

Do a proper test, but yes the shaft will leak enough air to cause a vacuum leak. its a common problem.

I will do "A Proper Test".. haha ok lets see where this comment goes!!!! I just figured that If I could hear a leak by blowing into the hose, a proper test should reveal more of a leak with more pressure.. Correct??

it would help detect if there was more than one leak. and you are correct. You just look funny coming to that conclusion. :rotf:

Leak some yes, leak a lot as in enough you notice with human pressure time for another TB or you can have them machined and new seals put in.

Minor leaks will/can play havoc on IAC more than anything.

A boost leak around the throttle body like that will ony cost you around 1 maybe 2 psi at most. not 5-7......

Mine has leaked a bit for years,I never even mess with it

Dave Thanks I guess ill find out more when I do a proper leak test!!
And yes in my last post I thought I was having low boost or lack of! After installing a boost gauge I discovered boost was actually dropping off around 8-9 psi.
