Re: Tach Flutter

No big jumps on the tach like you're describing but the wires are bad. The number 2 plug wire is swollen pretty bad and looks terrible. So wires and cap is next. Disconnecting the boost controller helped a lot. Runs a lot smoother when I'm in the boost. This weekend will be the wires fuel pump and cap and rotor and I hopefully I will see some more improvements.

How did it go?

The only thing I got done was the pump and that changed a lot. Starting the truck was 100% easier and overall the truck ran better than ever. Cruising and beating on it felt better. Never got around to the cap and rotor because I couldn't decide if I should replace the whole distributor or just cap and rotor. But I lunched the truck off idle and it shifted through every gear with no hesitation and I boost launched and some how that caused me to hit what felt like a rev limiter and it will only hit that point if I boost launch it. From a roll and flooring it, it shifted through every gear fine. Just boost launching is messing with something.

Update: I checked my fuel pressure and it reads 50 psi when the vacuum is plugged in. And I checked my map sensor while I was there and saw the vacuum hose going to it was pinched and I straightend the line out and now my truck feels much slower.
