What I am asking is why were there 4 calls made showing MY number and you leaving voice mails followed by multiple calls from your number.

Well at least after over a month of politley try to comunicate I know Guy is alive and just chooses to ignore me. To answer your question. That's a fun new iPhone app that does that. Don't worry. Not to be used again. Just wanted to hear Guy answer the phone

I live 1 hour from Rockford Racecraft. I can say there is a really good chance I won't be giving them any business. It's not just this post--I have heard personally from someone on the posts NOT to go anywhere near them, plus all of the "bad press" I have read about them thanks to the "search" function in the past....

Thats your right of course, but for each of the small handful of unhappy people you read on here, I can give you at least 10 perfectly happy ones. some of which now are dear friends and trailer their trucks to me yearly for just service.

So be fair, at least give me a chance if you are considering getting work done.

This is the guy that after threats and hostile phone calls about finishing his truck couldnt pay the bill once it was done. For the FIRST TIME in my professional career I let a guy take a vehicle and make payments.

Last week it was nats and the next two it is a family vacation. (that I postponed to go to nats)

I got a couple messages from you when I could check my phone. Same tone as this thread. Hmmm, no call back? I wonder why that is?

Well what happened was I got a text saying "in the machine shop can't hear you will call you back" so i texted back that I hadn't called anyone had just got home from work.

I got a call an hour later asking what was going on that the first call was answered and he couldnt hear anything and that was followed by 3 more calls from my number and then multiple calls from him number. So I just want to make clear that I don't appreciate being part of childish games.

I think thats what it takes to get what you pay for from him, is to have been a long time friend. All the people that gave references/referals were.

All I know and can share is my experience, a sh**y one at that..

Imagine.. you paid 12.5K upfront to build a truck in 3 months(Guy quoted me that), 1 year later he has done nothing, and when I visit the shop he has someone elses shiny new motor in my truck to test for fittment!!!!!!!!!!! WTF. Just because my truck had no front end on it, it was easier to test fit in my truck than the one it wsa going into.

Says he can't get the Eagle Rods, they'll be here in a couple of months.. OK, I found some on ebay... paid about $420 for them, had em shpped to RR..another $20 to get the ball rolling

MONTHS later, still no sight of my motor..

I had to ride his ass and he hosed me for it. I have a truck that went 3k + over budget, did not get painted, leaks oil, and has a sh*t tune

What I was promised was "it'll look like a pearl when you open the hood, Went to kindergarten with the paint guy, You'll have a beatiful fully functioning truck in 3 months"!!

Everytime i stopped in the shop..all i heard was excuses and how many trucks are here because of bad builds by other shops and how good he was gonna build my truck.......

It could have worked out, but he doesnt answer the phone, doesn't produce what was promised. which makes me what he calls "hostile", you would be to if you got treated the way I did.. so the longer he goes with out repsonding to me.. the more angry I got.. Simple laws right there,
i think i was pretty understanding, i know he had family issues going on that needed his attention. Sh*t happens, but for 21 months in a row!

You posted the progress of the truck in this thread. Not once did you voice any concern until now, many months after the fact and after you don't your CD.

The reason I waited until now is I was giving him a chance. As for taking the truck w/o paying. I paid the original amount agreed upon when I picked it up. There was now way I was going to pay in full after what he had put me thru just to get it I just wanted it done. So I paid him in full with in a month of taking delivery, that was the least he could do. He went well over budget, something he said he would discuss with me before he knew. Instead he just sprung it on me. Considerig 1k minimum was set aside for paint/body shop. And the truck never made to the shop, he filled in that gap with 14hours of labor to hang the fenders and core support. $910, WOW.

And in your previous post you said you don't give a damn about this so let Guy defend himself. He knows the story.

I thought I'd take a moment to voice my opinion. I took my Ty to RR when I first got it , and Guy took me out for a Dm run...for free. He said STOP! My IC pump was no-worky. I stayed outta boost and got it fixed. Thanks for saving my motor. I also know Eric, and have seen the bill for the work done. I would be shocked too, to see 14 HRS labor to hang fenders, on trucks he's been working on for years. I've never done that on a Ty, but I bet I could do it faster than that.

a bad IC pump would not have killed your motor, in fact when my truck was still stock, my fastest run was with a bad IC pump. Sure its something that needed to be fixed, but hardly something that is life or death.

Isn't that the truth.....thats why the rule of thumb is the customer is always right and you are supposed to bend over backwards to make/keep them happy. Its just good for business.

If he was promised a CD as part of the total project and doesn't recieve one, he should be irritated. If Guy "shreds" the Cd or doesn't give him one at all, it just shows what kind of business man he really is. A man is only as good as his word. If he doesnt follow through with something as simple as a CD....to me it just strengthens the complaint of escofield.

As far as going over budget, if I wasn't notified about the overages and didn't agree to them ahead of time before the work was done....that would be your problem not mine. I think you have all valid points, including bringing Silly into this, that is something i regret. I have never met him and only spoke to him briefly as he mentioned. He has every right to be ed at me. At least i can admit a mistake, take responsibilty for my actions. It was done with no ill intentions, only to get into contact with Guy.
