Hi´there.you folks at Sy/Ty forum.

Dont know HOW to start a poll about this Q but Robert was woundering IF any would "Chip in" to keep expences down for the container?

Last year Robert talked about taking his truck to Kansas City for the nats, there was some positive responces to this BUT last year was a lost year for R..

This year looks allot different we will run the King of Europe the midsummer weekend and if nothing breakes he have 4 weeks to find the $ to ship the Syclone to US and Nats -06

Donations above $40 would automaticly give the donor a free T-shirt black with "Bad as truck kicks ass" on the back.. sorry only L and XL sizes..for now..

He also wants a trusty person near Kansas C or within some 4-5 hours drive to maybe be reciver to the container and unload the Sy in a safe house/garage/storage house until we arrive (2-5 days no more) maybe this person also could be the reciver of the donations money too, because Robert will give the donations back, IF the truck dont get shipped..

We´re talkin about $5-6000 to ship the truck 2 ways.. NOT the expences for Robert and crew.

We´re trying to get sponsoring here in sweden too..

Lots of Swedes know about Roberts and Hoover, Ed H and others "bathle" to be the fastest Sy, and the tought´s of having the SY´s in Q, on same track doing matchraces would bee a sight for life. This is a DREAM for Robert to do..

any of those trucks on the same track at nationals would be awesome to see.

all three would be insane.

We allready have som realy positive answers, to make Roberts visit to the nat´s a reality :D

Yes it would be a race to never forget to have all 3 contenders there..

Wish i was going to the nats already this just makes it worse! hope there is some good video of these "match races" . Paypal accounts are so easy to set up that would be the way i would get the donations in. :2cents:

Wow! I can't donate much, but I'd be willing to donate at least $50... $100 if the wife and I can find it. It's worth it to me to see his truck!

When and where to send it, just let me know... Although I don't do paypal. :tup:

it would be nice to also get confirmation from Hoovers and Hess that they will come. Maybe Ed would come if we get him to commit now (enough planning time)

I just got off the phone with Robert. He is VERY excited to be able to bring his truck this year. In total he is expecting the expenses of the trip to be close to $10,000. Obviously this is a big expense.

Any donation is welcome to help offset the costs to fullfill one of his dreams and to hopefully get a good match race going this year.

I have committed to help Robert with the transportation, from picking his truck up upon US arrival, to storing, and transporting to the nationals.

A paypal Account is setup for

All monies WILL be refunded should the trip not happen (minus any paypal fees). Paypal will be a good way to record donations. Robert has promised shirts to anybody with a donation over $40 to be delivered at the nationals in person.

Ok, I sent my 50 bucks. If Robert comes to the nats, I am bringing my Sy for sure.
I want Roberts Sy heads up on the steet. This way we'll find out who is the real King of the Street :) I am sure someone from Kansas City can find us a good spot to run.

You guys are the best This realy looks like its going to happen´s :D

Robert is realy exited about this, last year he was near "retirement" due to all things gone bad that season..

But now he is realy "flying around" and all exited, the truck is performing stronger than ever and faster than predikted :D

This year is going to be a HILIGHT for him..

Hope we all can make this dream come thru to :D

I just watched "Worlds fastest Indian" the other day. This story is similar.

Maybe the mods can make it a sticky or break out the info.

I do hope to see him and his truck this year.
