Syclone at auction

I have the opportunity to bid on a syclone that has a salvage title at an auction. Im debating how high i should go. Of course i do not want a syclone so plans would be to strip or sell as whole. What do you guys think as of price and plan. Vin number is 1GDCT14Z6M8800484. http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?p=822229#post822229

Thats a shame, I hope someone would try and fix that rather then part it.

My friend who is looking at it is telling me to fix it becasue its not that bad. My intentions arent to get to involved. If anyone is looking for a syclone to fix up let me know. I have 24 hours left.

that thing is parts only in my book, but could be fixed.

Anything can be fixed depending on how much you want it or love it.. Unless you can fix it yourself there's over 2500.oo at a body shop. Plus the over 2k it's already at(what you mentioned).

I'd buy it and part it out. Front bumper and assembly plus the complete motor are worth roughly 2K by themselves.....To get that truck back to "straight" condition, your looking at 6-8K at a body shop. If there is frame damage, add 1-2K onto that. Doing it yourself would be the way to go, but it is going to be very involved, and is about as close to a frame off resto as you can get, without it actually being one. But then again, if you have torn apart that much, you might as well do a complete resto.....

20 years from now ppl will be wishing they could find a 56k mile Sy that only needs a cab.Or a frame.Big deal.

If that truck gets parted, well I guess everyone else's is worth more.

I do find it kinda sad to part out, but it does have a salvage title that needs way more $$ worth of work to make nice than just buying one in good condition. Plus all of our trucks need parts we just cant get any other way than parting one out. If it were to be fixed he would still have to buy parts from another parted out Sy, which is still having to use some one else truck for parts, so why not make this Syclone the cadaver since its pretty far gone already.
