"The Syclone featured a hodgepodge of GM parts. The instrumentation was ripped out of the 1990 Pontiac Sunbird Turbo, the center console and shifter came from the Corvette and the all-wheel-drive system itself was plucked out of the Safari minivan. But it all somehow worked."

I love it when they make sure to point out things like that. LOL. Our trucks are the bastard children of early 90's General Motors.

The Corrado VR6 is more like a side-by-side inline 3 than a "V"6

Was the list based on best looking v6 cars or good v6 engines? Those Delorean were slow. I believe the Alfa gtv6 (from the 80's) should have been on that list or any v6 alfa that was sold in the U.S for that matter. Great sound good Hp and good handling.

Greatness for the purposes of this list is defined as superiority in the context of the car's production era, standard setting for future vehicles, advancing automotive technology and being plain wicked bitchin'. By those standards, every vehicle listed here slots in perfectly.

I've owned three as well.... '93 SHO, '90 300ZX, and the Sy of course. Love/loved every one of them.
edit... our Passat had the VR6 in it as well...Great motor!

Didn't know it was based on crash test results. Lol Sy/Tys aren't exactly rhe best engineered/reliable/nice driving vehicles either. Drove a few AWD VR4's and they impressed me. I built a motor for one that ran high 10s and he street drove it. Wasn't the greatest car but its certainly better than a Taurus SHO. (drove one of those too)

Cool article. Owned the SHO and obviously the Sy. Just about bought the 09 GT-R if not for the $12,000 mark-up when they came out.....

I owned or currently own 5 of the cars on the list. Ty, GN, S4, 300zx and SHO. I guess I have a thing for the sixes.
