finished the TT sy yesterday, put on some new turbos t67gtQ's .96 a/r on the exhaust side fixed a bunch of leaks, wideband, egt. took it for a ride this truck pulls really hard 5 psi almost as hard as it did on 12 psi. the AF is still really rich around 10.1 at cruise and until about 8-9 psi then it goes to 11.5-12 still have some more work to do like willwood brakes up front then some ls1 brakes in the back, the truck is going to get a wing most likey and maybe some other areodynamic devises to help with stabilty. also new front springs will help a great deal.

talked to a guy here where i live and he told e he can build me a 700r4 that i cant explode and he will build it for me for free all i have to do is get the core and /2 the parts cost. i think i will take him up on it i kinda miss overdrive.

today the truck is getting a bath and detaiing in the engine bay, its impressive how dirty a truck can get even with out driving it.

a quick question can i get just the speedo harness to plug into my current set up? or will it be way off with the th350 in there?

(sarcasm loaded post, there's no way I would even consider a 700r4 in that truck. I'd just as soon consider that tranny as I would consider going back to a single stock turbo on that buildup. For shits n giggles, ask that builder what parts he would use in a 700 buildup that could withstand your truck's power, compared to what everyone else uses that has failed. 700's withstand 10 sec power, but the number of passes they will last is short compared to a 350/400 trans with strong parts.)

its funny you guys say that, that was my first impression and everybodys that i have told this too. I would like to do a tranny that has overdrive but i dont want to have to have 2 spares waiting for when i blow it up.

the 350 is working well the manual shifting gets old after about 3 stop lights just do the harshness of the downshifts. the 350 could be on its last leg i pulled a lot of metal from the pan.

What he said. A GT35 Built Motor Syclone sure use the 700R4 / 4L60e. They can hold.

A Twin Turbo V8 Race Syclone? A 700R4? It just doesn't compute in my mind.

Robert went to a 4L80E, Hoovers went with a 400. Both went through their share of 700's before that.

It may not explode on the first pass or possibly the second if the planets are in the correct alignment and you have a witch doctor do a 700 anti death dance but it will explode. Not if or when but it will.

You aint only kiddin.. Mine has sat in the garage mostly and looks like fourty miles of wild wolf coochy.

Price is also very resonable.

just got back from a little cruise. about 10-15 miles not much but enough to really wish i had fuel injection.

thanks I have the fronts (thanks spanke), and a master cylinder i picked up at a swap meet. i had the willwood rear set but after deciding to leave 0005 stock i sold them to sygoat (i think it was him) and then about 2 weeks later i had an opputunity to buy the TT. just my luck oh well

so now i am going to look into a ls1 take off set

now as far the master cylinder goes how do you choose the right one? I need a bigger one for disc's correct? do you have your PN handy? or what diameter it is?

I don't have it handy. It was on my buddie's truck (9 sec sonoma gt). He had Wilwood disk up front and a ford 9 with disk brakes on the rear.

I am sure the one that i have is plenty big enough for your truck. But i will get a hold of Jay and ask him first.

put a th400 in it with 3.08 gears. If you are down to spend some coin, the 4l80 is a great strong and tuneable trans.. Since you need fuel injection i think the Big Stuff engine managment has both engine and trans control built into the same unit which will save you some money if you go that route. RIght Marty ?

Mike i couldn't agree with you more about Big Stuff 3. It's the shit!!

Just an FYI - When i spoke to John Meanie last he asked me to tell the odd-fire v6 guy's that he will have the Big Stuff 3 with available in the spring. He is currently working with a friend of mine on his odd-fire big ass turbo v6. His system is very easy to use and is a complete stand alone unit.

Tire size? If its 26" (ie 255/50-16) that would be around 165-170, but some of that depends on how much yuor TC slips...

bought a 1000.00 dollars worth at .085 cents now the stock is worth .97 cents thats a few percent increase. my 1000.00 is now 11,115.00 dollars
that will buy me some big stuff. I was doing some rough calculations and i came up with about 3-3500 bucks to convert my truck to efi.
