I use the BG aerosol stuff that you can get from the Dealershit, NAPA, and Carquest. Stuff works great!

If you go to, or call the dealership parts section, they will know what you're looking for. It's about $13 a bottle when I bought it last year. I'd go get the part number out of my truck, but it's cold outside.

Re: Top End Cleaner???

I work for GM and we sell a "top end cleaner" that is much praised I can get you a part # if you really need it. My Sy has run 13.70 @ 95 bone stock and I've used the product a lot. Why don't you just walk into your local GM dealer's parts department and ask for it?

Re: Top End Cleaner???

after you use it I know you have to change oil but what about the plugs?

BG makes some good stuff as mentioned before. I also suggest using the fuel rail injector cleaner. I've seen that stuff clear out a clogged spider injector and made it run like a champ!

I have a feeling the guys at my dealership will give the deer caught in headlights look if I ask for it by name instead of a p/n. If someone could post it that would be great.

Re: Top End Cleaner???

I asked for Top Engine Cleaner at the dealer and the guy new what I was talking about.

I'd change the oil and plugs.

Re: Top End Cleaner???

Definitely change the oil and filter after doing this; plugs wouldn't be a bad idea either. That stuff is very toxic, be careful. I ran a can of it through my motor a few weeks ago. While pouring the can into the brake booster hose to kill the motor, a bunch of the fluid blew back out the hose right in my face and eyes...was not fun. Only a little blue/white smoke came out this last time, so I'm pretty sure there's not much carbon/varnish buildup left in Sy #434's motor.

+1 for Seafoam

We'll go Seafoam +2 because it seems like a lot of people don't know what it is. It's at least as good as GM top engine cleaner, but you don't have to pay the GM markup. Auto Zone usually has seafoam. But try any of the major parts houses.

For fuel system maintenance I use Lucas Injector cleaner & top end cleaner. Just pour it in your tank every month or so.
