Quickest and cheapest way to get it running. I wanted a low mileage bottom end that had never been apart. After the Ty is running, then I'll start on getting stock block put together. I'll spend the time and the money to do it right, so when the L31 can't take anymore, hopefully I will have the bulletproof LB4 ready.

No, The compression on the L31 is higher, but with the boost controller turned down to stock boost, it will survive long enough to get the stock block ready.

I think those are my old rims... AJ sold them for me on ebay awhile back. Is there a curb dent in one of the rims? If so, that is them. Welcome aboard and congrats.

I will check the wheels when I get home tonight ... I don't recall seeing a dent in one of them, but I wasn't terribly concerned with how they looked ... but I will check, would be pretty funny, small world!! ;-)

Those look like Vortec heads drilled for the SyTy intake, did you have your intake welded to bridge the port gap? You know that will change the airflow and throw any stock tune out of whack, right?

Those are the converted heads/intake from RPM. The heads and intake were run on the truck before and the chip appears to be modified. According to the previous owner he just pulled the engine to beef up the bottom end, and then ran out of cash and interest. He said I can put it back together using the Garrett 60-1 turbo, and the stock 30 lb injectors and will not need to re-tune it. So we shall see.

At the moment I am waiting to get my right manifold back from being brazed/welded for a small crack in it. Then I just have to finish bolting up accessories and mod the oilpan for the turbo return line fitting. Then it will be ready to go in. I'm really hoping to get the engine in within 2-3 weeks.
