So when does the fan turn on with your set up?

its 100% variable. once the truck warms up a little bit it starts to turn slowly, then increases speed as the motor gets hotter and changes speed to keep the truck at 160 (or as close to it as possible in the South FL heat) with out ever cycling on or off. It prevents large current spikes that blow fuses, or over power a stock alternator, and also keeps the motor from changing temperature.

Im not home so I can't provide any serial numbers etc off of my fan right now but I know they came out of 2001 s80, v70 and s60 volvos

Did they only come from 2001? Where can we find these aside from once in a while off ebay? Thanks.

Well i have this fan and mounting kit on my Ty and i must say the fot and finish os top notch, very well thought out and holds everything nice and tight. Im also running mine off the IC relay with a second relay and currently a 30 amp circuit breaker, but i will be redoing the wiring this weekend to bigger wire so i feel safer.

I have a few of the fans avaiable, im asking 75 plus 15 for shipping. Just email me or PM if your interested. These are getting harder to find, thats why the price has gone up alittle, but still a great deal, as this fan pulls ALOT of air.

Count me in Jon! Just sent a PM to Mike for a fan. The fire destroyed both shrouds and the fan/clutch are pretty fugly, so this is just the setup I'm looking for. I'll send the paypal (or check if you'd prefer) whenever you're ready. Thanks guys, hopefully I'll get it back on the road till Nats.

The Mounting kit is 65 plus shipping and the fan from me is 75 plus shipping, but since your local you can just swing by the house and pick one up, ill set one aside with your name on it.

Post #16 has the official DIBBS LIST so if the information there isn't correct for you then please let me know and I will correct it. If your status is "Maybe" then you need to let me know when you decide for sure because you will be bumped down to the alternates if someone else commits before you do.

It seems that $85 shipped for the fan kit is with the majority. Since a couple have paid already I'm going to leave it at that. I will also be making a $50 donation to SyTy.net once all 5 kits have been paid for.

Yes, you can PayPal the money but as I mentioned in the earlier posts, I do not have any fans. You can also find the Email address for PayPal there.

I really doubt that I'll get any more fans. Also this maybe the last oportunity for the kits as well due to the fact that most that want them, have them already.

No problem but I think you'll find that the aluminum angle for just 2 pieces may be a little pricey. You'll have to measure and drill the required holes for mounting because I just have a template I use for locations. I could try to get measurements for you if you decide to go ahead but using your truck for a template may yield better results. Both pieces of aluminum are .065 or thicker. You can use steel but be prepared to finish it somehow so it doesn't rust.
Anyway, here's the list...

• 28" aluminum angle with 3" leg and .75" leg (top plate)
• 28" aluminum angle with 3" leg and 1" leg (bottom plate)

Hardware Pack includes (off the top of my head)

• 2 - 1/2 x 10 SS screws and matcing speed nuts
• 2 - 1/4 rubber gromets
• 2 - heavy duty shelf pins
• 3 - 1/4 x 20 x 1/2 hex head bolts with washers and acorn nuts
• 4 - M8 x 1.25 hex head bolts with lock washers
  • these are metric about 1/2" long

If you just want to buy a hardware pack it's probably about $5-$6 worth so how about $10 shipped?

Have you checked with HotRodV6? I think he still has a couple fans. I'm trying to get a couple more fans myself but so far... no luck. Check with your local Volvo dealer, they may still be changing a few of them out.

I'm waiting to hear from you if you are in on the deal so i kow if I should order enough for 4 or 6 kits. Let me know so I can get these assembled and in the mail.
