Good deal on the pulsator removal remedy!

As far as starting with a small hole and working my way out....
That would pretty much ruin any chance at reusing the removed section as a hinged door to fill the hole :roll:
Maybe I could go to the junk yard and see if they'll let me have a chunk of the bed floor out of an S-10. I could then use a latch like this:

I'll figure something out. Just thought someone may have done this already and had some measurements.

Congrats on the fix Luis ! Dunno about the rest of you guys but, I like the loud humming my Walbro makes... Lets me know without a doubt that it's pumping away.

Hey Blake, I know someone somewhere has cut an access panel to get the fuel sender on a ty as I have seen a pic of it. I'm gonna do some searching to try and track the owner down to get you some measurements. I will report my findings here. Hope to hang out with ya a few times this year .

Ok, found the pic of the ty with the fuel pump sender access panel here: http://www.nwstp.com/littlec/littlec.htm But, I didn't see a way to contact the owner to get the dimensions. However, the owner is Paul Schwab (with email addy) and I found this in the list archives about the mod: http://www.syty.org/archives/syty/0012/msg00141.html Seems it is not without its drawbacks. May want to rethink if it's worth doing unless some provisions are made for strengthening. HTH's
