Went to take the emissions test. Too Funny!!!

Well as soon as I got there I went to the lane for the AWD vehicels. I waited for about 5 minutes and nobody even helped me, so I went and asked the guy that was testing the AWD cars, that what was the problem?. He said Ill be right there.....but first get out of that lane and move to any other lane your truck is not AWD. WTF? I told him yes it is. Then he said I dont remember GMC making an AWD truck. He them told me bring it in anyways. When the test started the truck was jumping back and foward. I was kinda getting mad because he didnt know how to drive it just because it has a turbo :evil: . Well like in the middle of the test he stoped. He told me it didnt pass because the truck moves side to side. I tought to myself whatever. From there I went to another place and the truck passed right away. This just comes to show that if the person that is taking the test for your SY/TY doesnt know how to drive it just becuase it has turbo.....Your SY/TY probably wont pass the test. LOL

By the way the guy was like 45 years old.

yeah man I would demand a refund for the testing fee..it's not your fault he couldn't drive the truck to do his job.

I went last June and thankfully I wasn't pestered about being in the AWD lane and I got to do the driving myself

People should understand that if you say your truck is AWD they should take it as that regardless if there memory doesn't recall a truck being produced :evil: Some people...

Well it seems like they have a new rule. If your car/truck doesnt pass they wont charge you. They will give you ten more days to go take the test for free. That what pretty cool!
So here is my advice to the SY/Ty'ers in Colorado dont take your sy/ty the the commerce city emission testing place.

I was going to test the Ty anyways with the cat and crap off just to see how bad it was.

Wonder if it was just a one-off case?

The ones in MO will measure hp, but they won't give you any of the info.

At all the ones I've been too it is untrained 16 yr old kids working there who know NOTHING about cars period dott dott.

Do they strap down the cars in CO? They don't here either.
A 300+HP AWD 3800# truck can easily jump a dyno if it hits 2nd with full spool.
I put a 2X4 block under my gas pedal to make sure they can never go WOT. unplug the IC fuse, put in a 195 thermo, drive for an hour straight before the test...

Coolies! I just need my new Sy to pass emmissions once when I get back to Colorado...from then on I run colorado plates while living in other states (military) and never have to worry about emmissions or inspections again.
