Hey guys, I had to replace my front diff and got one from a junk yard. We hand picked one in good shape and it was from a newer Olds Bravada. I saw a post on here that said don't use a Bravada front diff cause it is a 3.73. Going down the road...it is smooth...anything over 1/2 throttle...

ibanez691... Did you do any damage to the motor? I'm hoping the intercooler stopped most of the turbine pieces from getting sucked into the motor. Still haven't installed the new (used) turbo yet. Went with a stock replacement.

4 hours later...one broken wrench, many skinned up knuckles, coolant on the floor and those damn bolts finally gave up the farm. I heard stainless isn't a good idea and anti seize is the answer. Found out what caused the turbo to puke...any you guys heard of the nut coming off the turbine...

they are 15mms of ornery, rusty, stubborn, bee-otches!

Tried the archive search but nuttin...My stock turbo just blew and I need to replace it. What's involved here? How many accessories do I have to remove to get this thing out?...It's got ~130K miles so rusty nuts suck! Also, what's your recommendations on a new/used one? I want to keep it...

Thanks for the input guys... Well, if it's just a question of durability, we'll see. The guy paid $1300 from JEGS. The motor is stock and has >120,000 miles w/o a rebuild. Needless to say, it won't even come close to staying w/my '01 WS6 (except off a cliff!), so I won't be pushing it too...

Stariy...I've got a '93 Ty with exactly the same problem. I just had brand new CV's installed and a hand picked mint (used) diff installed... and I still have the clicking/clunking sound. I will try Anthony's advise on the worn diff bushings. Will let you know how it turns out. Hope that's...
