The only thing that can make any sence yet is rocker adjustment... Just about every rocker on this truck was set different from the others clearly by looking at the adjuster screw. Basicly like who ever put those rockers on ( Not Pointing Fingers cause i dont know who it was) didnt put each cylinder to TDC and then adjust them. Its like they wer just laid down and tightend. There are no marks on the piston or the valve to indicate if one hit one another. Over rev wasnt a factor i only pushed 5K. So as of right now the only damage is that one lifter and that push rod.

I would recommend doing your homework and measuring the lifter preload per the Comp Cams instructions on their website (or whatever you prefer). I wrote about it in my big Vortec head/cam install thread (also in Member's Projects) and I discovered the pushrods I received were actually about .100" too long, I had to exchange them for the correct length (7.198" I believe).

Here are some updated pictures. I have the motor together ready to run...wait thats right it wont f***ing start. I brought the crank to 0 and checked the rotor placement but it just wont fire... :tdown: :squint: So im loseing my motivation

My truck came with a stock-replacement "MSD Blaster GM Coil". I replaced it with an ACDelco one. Years later I was troubleshooting a problem and I put the Blaster coil back in for a test. Immediately the truck had more knock than normal. I am also not impressed.
