Well I don't think you need to be concerned with the IC. You can always do what the factory did and T the 2 together before the tank. However it kinda looks like that might be a pressure tank. What you need to be sure of is that it's a vented tank. All the pressure is handled by the rad pressure cap. There are a couple on that same link. Almost anything will work, it's the make it purdy part that's hard. Back in the day with vertical flow radiators the coolant was just left down a bit. There was no header tank.
IC overflow to top fitting, radiator to lower fitting. Stainless springs hold it in place.
