distributor gear

Hey guys ...my distributor gear is pretty worn down. What do you guys suggest? Thanks :drinking:

just go to your dealer and get a new stock one($40??) or goto autozone and get a rebuilt distributor for about $100.
the distributor gear is designed to be soft to prevent wearing out the camshaft gear.

I'd recomend not going with Auto Zone's I just went through this a couple days ago. I would recomend the msd. The auto zone dist. has alot of gear play and made alot of noise when I put it in and only got louder as time went on. New dist. now I have no noise. Atleast coming from the distributer.

I believe it is a brass gear instead of steel.

The bronze gears are for steel billet cam cores
