Not exactly happy with it, but will keep tweaking until its right. The problem stems from building the molds from the stock parts which never lined up and didn't fit perfect to start. Now the glass pieces mimic the originals, its annoying but not unsolvable. Little more glass work and some support brackets and on to paint.

Re: Fiberglass Front Fenders with Cladding

So I ordered two sets of the fenders(one set for me and one set for Renz) and they showed up today.. They are not perfect but for what he is charging for the set they are one hell of a deal...

What did a set end up costing?

I CADed up a bracket to use with these fenders that will:

1) Allow you to bolt your hood hinge to something metal. I'm not so sure I'd trust the tab that glassed onto the fenders.
2) Provide the hooks that hold the back of the cowl down into place.
3) Provide a location to bolt hood supports to(if you use them).

If anyone is interested in a set I can sell them for $30 shipped. The are made from mild-steel and are unfinished. Some minor bending may be required to get the cowl hooks exactly where they need to be.. Also these set on top of the fiberglass fender so they are higher than the original mounting locations on the fender. To get the front of the cowl to line up like its supposed to you need to massage the tabs on the cowl that bolt to the top of the fender. I'll post a pic of what I mean tomorrow..

Sweet man I've been talking to helicoprion about his and I think once his are all figured out with the inside of the wheel well and how they will be supported. Let me know how you do it all cause I'm really chomping at the bit for these and if I remember correctly they were $350 for a pair as I talked to the guy who makes them.

You don't need to support the inner-fender-wells.. You will be surprised with how sturdy they are even when they are not bolted to the fenders. I am just going to get some black rubber and cut out extensions that mate up to the inside of the fenders..

original shits dry rotted and way overpriced-

the amount of work, sanding, priming, sanding to get factory stuff straight and done right is not worth it.
98% of the people dont go through this though.

not stock
Re: Fiberglass Front Fenders with Cladding

Where can you buy these? And can you really tell if there not oem?

to the untrained eye they'll look oem once installed properly. But to those of us that know what we're looking at you'll tell, pretty instantly, that it's not stock.

There's 5 bolts that hold each inner fender in 3 in the front 2 in the rear so I'm glad you can still use the inner fenders. I've been interested in these pieces since I 1st heard about them and soon can afford them. These fenders actually made me want them over my original plan to do a GMC Canyon front end conversion. They look awesome and my only concern is how they mimic the old pieces and one is a half inch off. The Cleanness & newness of the 1 piece fender out weighs the fitment issue that no one but us will ever notice really. Although I would like everything to be perfect, maybe new molds could be made from a NOS pieces or something and start doing these things in carbon and just be the place to get bumpers, beds & fenders for all Syclones, Typhoons, Sonona GTs, & Clones from all over the country. Either way guys P.M. me a shipped price on these fenders and hood brackets shipped to 85023 and I will be ready to buy within 3 weeks.

Anyone else get a set of these fenders or bed sides? They look like a great alternative
