Re: jhacking first real pass

Who sent me PM´s last year to get some tips on the front end?

Yea who was the Ass that never got back to me;) you said you where on vacation and i'll get back to you, but you said you didn't want anthing getting out what you where doing to the front end to anyone on the board .That to me sounds like your trying to hide something from the great SYTY Community..

I dont give two shits about your truck or your times, I wasn't the person who got on here claiming I was the shit. some one just quoted they received a text, and then I saw all the BS, so I thought i would share my thoughts

As the wing Goes I have no comment. If you need a spare if that one blows off for some reason, I can get you a nice Carbon one that has been NASCAR Certified there laying all aroung the race shops up here near me:D:D

Good thing your name is Jamie and not John............wait maybe they will hate you too now! GOOD JOB!

On another note, how do you like supernaturalturbos? I have 2 ordered from them.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz...

Must say "the shit realy hit the fan this time"

I would realy say some coments about alot of stuff U said, BUT I will not pour gas on a fire and start some ugly "ol´time story´s"

About Roberts truck I have to say its the most inspected and exposed Sy in this comunity the few secrets about it is camshaft and converter nrs almost everything els is in the "poundcake upwriting"

I tryed to have it updated, but for some reason it seemd not so interesting?
Here it is annyhow.
http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=62285

Then take ur time and search for pics and vids on Roberts truck, U get plenty! nice pics on rearend build engine builds and lots of other pics, even vids on failures and not so succesfull runs, but he cept U updated.

If there was anny secrets it would have been reveled when Jeff had the truck for a couple of month before we came over -06 (wont take that story now, But made som good friends, Jeff, Jeremy and a bunch more)

And in return, what have u givi´n US back?? hardly a timeslip, picks or other info about Ur builds..
Yes size on turbo and if single or dual, but in the long run its been close to nada, not even tire pressure.

Now lets end this "bag of S**"

Jamie was very forthcoming with all info and willing to answer any question you threw at him at Nationals 2009...if you could find him while he wasn't either sleeping or racing that is

enough w/ the stupid pinball poking...i think the only fair way to squash this is for Robert to be wide open with exactly when and where he plans to bring his truck to the US again so that everyone in the same league has ample time to appropriately plan to meet up and run...preferably sans attitudes (not that that's the racer way most times :rotf: )

If there was good planning/enough time involved we could plan NATS around this. I only mention this since Robert has talked of bringing his truck back over here...and it's a bit easier to bring 1 truck over than send 5 that way. Maybe the polish crew could share a container with you? :)

Re: jhacking first real pass

It's to bad people get this way with each other. I for one I'm a young gun just here to learn from those who came before me. My Syclone is paid off and sitting in a garage slowly being built. I come here for advice, and one of the first things that attracted me to the SyTy community is the people. I don't have a lot of money to throw into my Syclone, so I need to build it slowly and just enjoy the sport. People like myself look up to those who create their own trucks with their own ideas. It's what makes a project so neat and unique.

During my first Syclone meet, someone was nice enough to give me a cowl hood and some other parts without me even paying. It amazes me how many people you can trust on here, which is another great attribute to this forum. Of course I paid the guy for his parts, and I can only hope this place keeps the SyTy community a priority. Lets not be selfish and hot headed, after all their are young people looking up to you as a mentor, even if you don't know it. We need to be a community that protects SyTys and helps each other all reach our goals and passions. After all, is that not what we all are here for? There will always be someone out there faster, higher horsepower, more knowledgeable. So lets work together and help build the report of the SyTy community. The last thing we need is to look like a bunch of illegals driving Hondas and measuring our penises.

no one hates you, as i remember it everyone was very interested in your truck and talking to you.

At the same time someone (no idea who, don't care) purposely caused problems for Robert even though he went through the effort of shipping his truck to the US.

EVERYONE is interested in seeing trucks go fast, the competition is great for the site, the trucks, and the community. At the same time we are all adults and no matter what happens we should be able to shake each other's hands and laugh about all the bullsh*t over a nice cold beer.

We have the same rules, our tag says SHRA not NHRA (a S insted of an N) legal, the only drawback was the NHRA inspectors that was told about Roberts truck, did´nt bother to inspect it,

KC track inspectors gave the truck free pass (even well build and safe to 8.50 then) BUT someone "dont remember his name" called and the NHRA inspector shut us down "for safety reason" and threatened to take the NHRA track license away for the owner of KC-raceway, IF Robert did run faster than 10 sec and was´nt banned... On a syty event! ! ! ! ! ! ! strong workin..

Shall we open the ugly bag or close it??

And about calling out some one, in Europe the challenger have to come to the champion, not the other way around? so get a good package deal and take the 3, or 5 car container and test the tracks we run on. that would be an experience for ya all :D

Re: jhacking first real pass

between Bully, Robert, Hacking, Gerber and Callahan...it's shaping up to be a very interesting year.

You don’t need to count me in the "fight to be the top dog" class. I built my TT Ty to be a show truck that can be driven on the street and occasionally go to the track and have some fun. I have a personal goal of 8.90et and 150 mph and if time allows run it in Drag Week one of these years.

My goal with the AWD Ty was to be in the 10s with a full interior and have a very nice clean low mile truck to take to local shows and play around on the street. I achieved that goal a few years back and now am just upgrading some of the things that I always wanted to do such as a better bottom end (Oliver rods vs eagles), Brodix heads vs vortecs, a better turbo and cam setup, Alky injection, 4l80e trans and have a custom stereo back in. My current goal is to still have it a full interior Ty with a custom stereo in the 10s.

Both goals are my own and I work on them as I have time with no perceived notion or care what anyone else thinks I should run or do with them. I do enjoyed the support those on the BB have given me over the years on both of my Tys. Thanks to ya'll!!

With that said here is what I think of a thread like this.

1. Not everyone that owns a Sy or Ty is interested in trying to be the fastest. It is costly when parts break, the downtime is long. There is always someone that will eventually come along and beat your times anyway.

2. Some owners have total different goals with their trucks and different reasons to be on the syty BB. Some come here to say "hi" and give and take information from other members. Some live on the BB and everything that is posted takes on a deep meaningful life form to them. Other members are somewhere in the middle.

3. Some members that do not even own a Sy or Ty do speak out and push discussions that eventually cause heated arguments. It’s nice to know that people that do not even own our trucks have an interest in them. Hopefully some day there would be a Sy or Ty for every enthusiast.

4. We all like these trucks or we would drive or "race" something else. These are Syclones and Typhoons. Those that are offended that someone else has a modified truck (ei: V8, 2WD, different suspension, tweaked interior, AC delete, twin turbo, different trans or rear-end, etc,) needs to get an insecurity check. There was a time years ago that we had a BB made up mostly syty purists, but with the aging and cost of these trucks to maintain we have adopted a wide scale of modifications. If someone wants to be the fastest AWD bowtie block, aluminum headed, 4l80e trans, different rearend, street driven syclone (or typhoon) that is just great. Someone else wants to be the fasted bone stock block with L34 heads and e85 that’s great. Someone else wants to be the baddest V8 (with or without turbos) that’s great. Someone wants to convert these to 2WD, great, there is room for those also. If they were born Syclones and Typhoons they will always be Syclones and Typhoons. There are hundreds of thousands of modified, altered cars and trucks in the world and they all keep their namesake. If you have a pure stock unmolested Sy or Ty then be a proud purist and command the respect you deserve. The rest of modifiers have just what it is, a modified Sy or Ty.

5. To Robert (MrSyclone) in Sweden. You are truly respected for your achievements on a building and continuing to push the fastest AWD syclone in the world. You also have some incentive to keep it an AWD as you have a popular AWD class in Europe to run it in. We don’t have such a noted class here for AWD. If we want to be a “racer” first and happen to own a Syclone, (such as Jamie) then we have to adapt to fit into the class available. If Jamie owned a rocket and could adapt it for racing he would as he is a born racer. We all want to be racers with our trucks, Jamie is a professional racer and uses our trucks to race…big difference. It will be hard pressed to have anyone here in the states to run as fast as you, because in reality our racing bodies (nhra, ihra etc) don’t promote it. There is also the fact that at some point it makes sense to run 2WD for better sixty foots, less weight, less breakage and safety. Serious racers that spend the money to go fast in class racing will not be AWD.

6. Anders…you seem like a nice person and I have not met you in person, but let’s be real. Robert owns a very fine and the fastest AWD syclone on the planet. He, as owner deserves the respect for that. Other members will have the fastest 2WD syty’s, stock syty’s, V8 syty’s etc. We all live with those modifications within our community. Don’t feel bad that Robert doesn’t hold all those titles. Maybe you personally could do a sy or ty in some other configuration than Roberts and achieve a top spot in that type of modification. The 2Wd drive mod may be hard to capture though as there seems to be a few of them around. I think the fasted granddaddy of them all would be a fully built tube chassis with a 1,500-2,000 hp twin turbo V8. Someone some day will do it and it will still be call a syclone or typhoon.

Jamie, Robert, Mike, John, (and others that are going extra fast)…be safe and have fun. These are great trucks!

John

Yes. But several hundred of us don't want to have to go to Europe to see it.
